  • After Gregor Mendel discovered inheritance laws, the term ”incomplete dominance” was proposed by the German botanist, Carl Correns (1864-1933)
Keeping Mendel’s work under consideration, Carl Correns experimented on four o’clock flowers. He crossed breed two true-breeding flower traits of four o’clock flowers the red color as the dominant allele and the white color as a recessive allele. The results show an intermediate heterozygote with pink color flowers. That shows NONE OF THE ALLELES GET DOMINANT. This situation in inheritance is known as incomplete dominance.
Law Incomplete dominance is a form of inheritance in which one allele for a specific trait is not completely dominant over the other allele

What happens if another cross was made involving a red four o'clock flower plant and a pink four o'clock flower plant?

Using punnet square the result will be 50% pink four o'clock flower and 50% Red

Do I have to use a different sign for the pink four o'clock flower plant like P?

Just follow genotype that you used on the F1 generation

Alleles symbols may vary depending on the books that you're using. Please recap 4:20 on the video to clarify things.
