if you're playing mp in private games you're safe with the patch, if you play mp publically you want to turn off friends only and remove your password on the patch to find games and still be safe.

yes, the patch works in asia. If you choose to remove the patch, the easiest way to do it is uninstalling and reinstalling your game. Hackers have no control over you or your steam. The worst thing that can happen is getting DDoS'd or kicked out of your game. You really dont have to worry about getting hacked.
Folks are now saying malwarebytes is blocking BO3 itself and linked to a Chinese server… great, I was just getting back into playing and got the T7 patch, still hadn’t convinced my friend to get the T7 patch though.
@GlitchedPerception i wouldn't doubt that. I'm getting loads of comments saying the game just isn't working and I always tell them to check if its their antivirus. I personally only use windows defender and I have never had an issue with bo3.

@galaxycupcake9258 i dont use malwarebytes for this very reason. It always false flags things and puts up restrictions for no reason. I personally just use Windows Defender and have never had any issues with the patch.

@Acecdawg you have to manually run the patch before every time you start black ops 3 and leave it running in the background. same with the vpn. with the server browser thing, I have no idea. I dont play public games, but I know that steam public servers can be extremely slow.

But I like to play with ppl but the server browser has to load every single available joinable map and it takes almost longer then the gta 5 loading screen at times. And it has to load all the servers every time the SB is opened, so it’s super fun when games aren’t joinable or when it lets you try to join full lobbies and you have to restart the server load again and again😂
You can still play publically. remove the password on t7 and uncheck friends only, and with a couple of tries, you should be able to get into a game from what I've been told.

@eko9554 im not entirely sure on the state of mp. i know that if you queue with the patch on for mp you have to uncheck friends only and remove your password to find games and be safe, but you'll still play against cheaters
@taranvashon5871 That's a great question, have you tried launching the patch as admin or disabling your antivirus? many common anti-virus' block the patch from working because they see it as a unknown threat.

@Beelefts not necessarily, but it does improve how the game performs. If you play in a private game with your lobby closed you shouldn't have to worry.
I have just downloaded it and extracted to my desktop instead of the specific folder as it was not included on the github page that you had to extract to a specific folder. Ive played like this for 3 weeks. I am kinda worried that im at risk now?
@maximedelobel2438 if it's working j wouldn't worry about it. It still shows up as being a protected process then you're okay. I would recommend just throwing it in your bo3 folder to be safe though.

Hey, I was Play offline solo (with the patch also) and I was getting connection interrupted in my match like not like a little blip connection issue this was like full on game freezing connection interrupted/needing to either restart my PC or close BO3 through steam, any idea's on why this happens
This is a small nit pick I just got T7 and it works fine its just when I want to fast restart I cant is there any way to fix this to bind it to one key?
@Kylequitz you might have to disable one of your anti-virus to allow it to run. I personally only use Windows Defender, and I also have the patch allowed through my firewall. Other than that, if you installed it correctly It should work. Every time you start it, it will error, but after your game launches and you're in the main menu, it should say protected process.
You can unzip the file to a different folder too, the pacth do not need to be unzipped in the Game directory ! An other point, as soon as you're filling a password, you can not play with strangers on public servers, right ?
Everything is worth except for multiplayer. It's basically unplayable because of the hackers n steam workshop modders and anyone can get access to mods with a click. And you are more likely to piss off a hacker and they would have more "reason" to target you. However you can play it but In my opinion, only zombies is worth.
i highly recommend getting it just for zombies alone, custom maps are worth it enough imo. like @tacwilleh said multiplayer isn't worth playing unless you like being modded against.
@CaptainVon you're only putting your ip address and routers well being at risk. Nobody can hijack your account or inject malware. If someone malicious enters your lobby, the wost that can happen is that they snatch your ip and fry your router. But I'd recommend using a vpn anyway because steam does nothing to protect your ip.

it could be an antivirus blocking it from running, most antiviruses thay come with your pc like norton or avast will automatically block t7 from running. you could try allowing it through your firewall?

It really depends on your computer, I'd recommend just loading into a game and messing around until you find what best works for you.

i dont think you can get custom maps without having it on steam because you need the steam workshop to get and play the maps.

This is a small nit pick I just got T7 and it works fine its just when I want to fast restart I cant is there any way to fix this to bind it to one key?

t7 patch literally wont work... like it just says the error thing...
@Kylequitz you might have to disable one of your anti-virus to allow it to run. I personally only use Windows Defender, and I also have the patch allowed through my firewall. Other than that, if you installed it correctly It should work. Every time you start it, it will error, but after your game launches and you're in the main menu, it should say protected process.

make your name whatever you want. it's completely your choice.
You can unzip the file to a different folder too, the pacth do not need to be unzipped in the Game directory !
An other point, as soon as you're filling a password, you can not play with strangers on public servers, right ?
yes, you can't find public matches when you have a password or the friends only bkx checked.

Everything is worth except for multiplayer. It's basically unplayable because of the hackers n steam workshop modders and anyone can get access to mods with a click. And you are more likely to piss off a hacker and they would have more "reason" to target you. However you can play it but In my opinion, only zombies is worth.

i highly recommend getting it just for zombies alone, custom maps are worth it enough imo. like @tacwilleh said multiplayer isn't worth playing unless you like being modded against.

I believe your entire account. Most of time they are just booters i think.
@CaptainVon you're only putting your ip address and routers well being at risk. Nobody can hijack your account or inject malware. If someone malicious enters your lobby, the wost that can happen is that they snatch your ip and fry your router. But I'd recommend using a vpn anyway because steam does nothing to protect your ip.

you can try using the radmin vpn to connect to each other and also make sure you have them added on steam.

@martinabuhamra3959 it wouldn't be safe unless you used the patch. Without the patch you can still get booted offline and have you IP grabbed.
Is it normal that the patch takes a long time to run or that I have to click several times until it opens?
@@SergioDG2000 no not in my experience but I don't know your pc specs or anything like that so it'd be hard to track what the problem is.
@@SLIPOFFABRIDGE it's a decent pc, but it's strange cuz sometimes it runs instantly, but other times it takes about 30s or doesn't run at all, maybe because I didn't move the files to the game folder?, I extracted them to a separate folder on the desktop.
@SergioDG2000 Yeah, I'd try putting them in your game folder and see if that fixes the load times.

@shiroalter8975 nope. just make sure you use a vpn if you're playing public matches or else you could get booted offline :)

Ive tried so many times this week and everytime no matter what I do even following tutorials it still says error occurred even when the game launches and loads. do you know if or how I can fix this?
it could be an antivirus blocking it from running, most antiviruses thay come with your pc like norton or avast will automatically block t7 from running. you could try allowing it through your firewall?

i always have to extract it every time in order to open it. why?
you shouldn't have to if you extract it all to your black ops 3 folder. Once the files are in there they're unencrypted.

you could try repairing your game files on steam and see if that fixes your crashes. Does your game still crash without the patch?

found the issue, bo3 doesnt boot properly if u have too many audio devices connected at once
