Class 40s at Stechford in the early 60s

More silent 8mm archive footage showing Class 40 passenger trains at Stechford on diverted West Coast Main Line services during electrification works taking place on the Trent Valley route. The film is believed to be taken in 1963.

Would say early 60s on diversion whilst the WCML electrification was taking place southwards along the Trent Valley line from Stafford to Rugby.
