Minion being a boss in 2& black is definitely him trying to win. If he beats you in 2 that's where he wins the tournament. In black it makes sense if he was last years winner he could have been offered another wish if he stopped you
@@dessadoo He for sure is for his size and idk why they made him that way. In reality he should have felt just like thumper but with more armor yet they gave him less armor and made him bouncy/top heavy lol
Love this video you did. Minion on Twisted Metal Black used to give me nightmares (also TM Black just is a nightmare inducing game). But i LOVE the cyptic texts from Black. You did an awesome job going over each version!
I would have to agree. Minion's first appearance is by far the toughest. Black has to use a shield. Which is somewhat cheap. But the first one is fair. Even if he uses a mixture of the contestants special's, he is such a behemoth, that you cannot stand toe to toe with him. You really do need to use strategy. Twisted Metal 2's Minion is about the best balance of boss, but not too much like the first one. If those two Minion's fought, i'd say the first one would beat the second one. Even if the second one's freeze is a thing, and probably handles better. The first one is too solid, too tanky, just an absolute wall. A strongman with no flexibility. Just raw power. The second is basically twister. A bodybuilder on hgh and steroids that moves like a cruiserweight. Twisted Metal 2 Minion is Brock Lesnar. While Twisted Metal 1 Minion is Brian Shaw.
I may be in the minority here, but i actually really like TM Black Minion. He may be a tanker, but he's intimidating as Minion should be. I was giddy as hell when i saw Minion for the first time in Black
TM2 is the best to play as. TM1 might be better but I never used him before. As to fight Black is the hardest and TM1 is tough but you can use strats with him.
Random ass thought: How's about a contestant that wishes to play Twisted Metal again after winning? And then they win again and wish for the same thing. And again, again, and again, annoying Calypso with a big ol Groundhogday Loop.
TM4 picked the absolute worse level to have minion on. He's too big for his own map. His special almost always misses. His design is the worst out of all the minions. His speed, handling, and health are all great but that's all he's got going. I'd rather play as super thumper, super axel is also terrible. Even though super axel actually has more health than any vehicle except sweet tooth.
Quick question for whomever, did anyone else here a voice after Minions ending in TM3 saying "Get me out of here" or something to that nature. Only bringing it up, as that's the only time you hear a voice that's not Calypso.
@@dessadoo I need to replay the game with spectre, I remember him in the screen and only thing I can recall is a faint yell. Which is still technically a voice.
@@dessadoo I'm sure you've beaten the game with Spectre more recently than I have, so I'll take your word for it. Spectre was never my vehicle of choice, it was always Minion and Warthog when going through tournament. Here's a topic for you, why was Sweet Tooth a secret character for TM2 and 3? TM4 is obviously why.
I'm weird in a way where i notice things nobody does in twisted metal. I've already mentioned this before in other video's. Like how the physics in the first game are more "slippery and slidey". Yet, also solid, more simplistic. Basic, arguably more realistic in some ways, but not exactly. Stiffer, and weighty. Hard to topple over, and if you do, it isn't so much a big deal. The landscape has more of a flat surface, with few ramps and inclines in certain levels. In the second game, it has a more bouncy and buoyant feel to it. Environments have more obstacles and inclines an such. Which affect the drivability of the vehicles. It's as if your vehicle is filled with helium. Ricocheting everywhere. The third seems more as driving on ice than the first. It's basically drifting. But also vehicles feel as though they're made of paper mache. Light, with how you go flying across the map effortlessly. And toppling over without even trying. But heavy simultaneously. The vehicles feel weird. You can drive up the walls in the first level. Some bits and pieces of realism exist, but ever so slightly. More so how vehicles responds to bumps, the suspension physics are a pretty neat touch. The fourth game i always say was the inspiration to Small Brawls RC car concept. There are no rules on how vehicles behave. You have full control over the vehicles characteristics, and can even control them in-air somewhat. I also have strategies for each game, with and against every vehicle. So, i guess the only way to explain is to do an upload of my very own sometime. Except i do not have a computer. I can't emulate. And my PS4 has corruption data issues that cause my console to crash at times. So it's unreliable. I don't have as much money to get it fixed without deleting any important saved files, and have done everything in my power to try and go through the list to fix it, to no avail. But if i ever get around to all these issues, i'll definitely give it a shot. Also, i much prefer the dark and grittiness of Minion's Maze and Sweet Tooth's Carnival, over Black's entire gimmick. Not sure how to explain it. But it retains those special notes of dark and twisted, still in color. I dislike the brown tint scheme that Black is based off of. Another game that did the same was Need for Speed Most Wanted. In comparison to Underground. Something about the brown filter doesn't do it for me. At least not with these games.

you're not the only one. I never felt for TM4 myself. TM1, 2, and 3 is my favorites. TM3 I always play minion with cheats. Minion with cheats is much better in my opinion
@@fucadekiwi you can say that about a lot of characters, Mr Slam, Outlaw, Darkside, Yellow Jacket, Twister and like @mooose5779 Sweet Tooth. Also for the record I wish Warthog stayed as a humvee as well.
He should have been a tank. I get the play on words( tanker truck) and it being based off sweet tooths twisted view of the world. Makes sense in that way, but they could have made it more tank like. Maybe a homemade style tank? Kinda how warthog was a kinda homemade tank.
Minion is the most iconic boss by far. I love him in TM2. I like that they gave him a meaningful story, such a menacing character.
Truth
The audio ambience of TM2 is iconic. The music layered with Yaaaaa, AXEL-POWER, and muahahahaha! Perfection
Hopefully we see minion appear in the tv show reprising his role as the winner of the last year's tournament

TM 2 Minion is the textbook definition of badass!
Damn it I'm addicted to this guy's videos. Just what I needed, more great engaging content. I hope you're happy with yourself!
What a week. TM3 with Minion is my guilty pleasure. Now all Minions! Love to see it.
I hope that one day someone will mod TMB boss Minion to be playable at least in the stadium
Tm3 minion battle would have fear and adrenaline pumping through me when i was a kid
Gotta turbo that fire off
16:56 AO-OOHHHH!!!
1:43 -- Running into Darkside.... EVER... in TM1 is a bad idea.
I want him to be an m1a1 abrams tank would be so badass
The design in TM2 was so cool, a freaking armored vehicle, then later game just turned him silly looking, like a stupid fuel truck in Black.
just imagine tm 3, 4 and black being on the same if not similar physics and engine as tm2. That would be amazing imo

What version of TM(1995) are you playing because from what I remember you fight minion 1v1 after killing all the other combatants on the rooftops?
Playing grim on tm2 is a test of a man resolve. Only one harder is grim on TMB
