OMG Only found out that these auto fed! Wish I watched Amy's demo years ago. Would've saved me loads of faff! It was the disconnecting the line from the spool....can't wait to try it out! Thanks guys. Will check out your other advice
One point which I've just found out after 5+ years. Replacement spools come with a plast cover to hold the line in place. Remove the plastic cover. It stops the thing from working. It took me forever to realise this. And NOWHERE does it tell you to remove the cover. The only way I could get it to work was to forget the spool and use the extra strong individual lines (thick red plastic)
Thanks Amy, all very good. I got the strimmer out of the box new, joined it up and went to work but the strimmer-line came out all in one go. What a mess! I put the line back in and all ok now. I think the factory might have played a prank...

My Bosch trimmer has only 1 hole frontage line to pass through. It should have 2 holes for the line to pass through on either side right?

I follow these instructions turn it on and cord instantly wraps it’s self in the motor. This happens even with a new line.
Is that line biogradable? If not as it cuts off it will leave bits of plastic wire around the garden
