But when Q specifically mentions that we replaced 1250 units, we can’t argue & challenge Q na😅 You can think customer’s requirements was >5000 units but he placed 5000 units order with us. We allowed replacement & he accepted. Hope that clears :)

Demand in the market is of 5000 units. If you produce only 5000, how can you fulfil entire demand of 5000 units (considering return from the customer who will get refund for returned goods). Your objective is to satisfy 5000 units demand any how! And for that, you have to produce 6250 units.

Production cost on 1250 units to pehle bhi tha and baad me bhi hai. 20,000 exps incur krne se extra kya hua? - delivery cost saved.
