Yup those are sardines! That’s the main live bait that the charter boats use. Good to eat also, one of my family’s favorites. Might want to switch your live bait rig to something like a dropper loop or three-way. I know clasps are very familiar to use but the bait swims a lot better and the connection to the hook is a lot stronger with a dropper loop or three-way.
Nice. Thanks for the fish i.d. I am looking into a stronger setup, but I wonder if it will matter, and if I actually want to catch something that big in Mission Bay, maybe I don't want to know... we swim there too sometimes 😬😧
@@PolyGoneOutdoors Haha understandable, but a clasp directly to a hook will definitely be the weak point in any setup and would kill your live bait sooner too
