This episode won Best Direction at the 2020 Emmys. It also was Brian Cox’s submission for his Best Actor nomination, which he lost to Jeremy Strong and his submission of the season finale.

Ah, Boar on the Floor! One of my favorite episodes, the acting from this cast is top tier! The three aspects of season 2 that make it my favorite: Kendall’s new “Yes, Daddy” attitude, Shiv being pulled into the business, the Pierce acquisition. More reactions!
So interesting how you guys noticed Roman’s behavior when Logan is yelling at him. I also picked up on the same thing early on. I feel like Roman just turns into a child whenever he’s confronted by Logan. Kieran Culkin does such a great job playing him.
The "Boar on the Floor" scene was legitimately unsettling the first time i saw it. Especially the moment when you see Logan standing right by Kendall and put his hands on his shoulders it shows just how powerless Kendall has become under his dad's control. Brilliant writing.

I think Alan Ruck was likeable in Ferris Bueller although its been a long ass time since I saw it.
I also liked him as the Captain of the Enterprise for 5 mins in Star Trek: Generations.
Seeing a mid-week episode on my feed always makes my day, thank you!

Whenever there’s a scene together between two actors that both played Stryker in the X-Men movies I get a little fanboy thrill.
Whats funnier is that the character Brian Cox played named Logan. Stryker would HATE that
I'm so impressed by Achara. She just gets it.
I love the conversation with Karl, Gerri, and Tom by the fire. The way they verbally dance and obfuscate while digging into each other and building each other up simultaneously is uproariously funny. In fact this entire episode is funnier than I remembered.

Oh boar on the floor, the episode where I knew that Tom, who says to never trust anyone, ultimately proved to Greg that he was to be trusted.
Roman's thrill at being able to victimize others (filming boar on the floor) feels like it comes directly from not being victimized in that moment. He was "the weak one" as kids, the usual boar on the floor losing to Kendall's slight age and size advantage, and the degree to which he revels in sadism is equivalent to the degree that he wilts under the harsh glare of his father.
Most people not on the floor in that scene were coping by trying their best not to stand out-chanting, but not arguing unless they were actively in the spotlight. But of course Logan's kids take more active roles as oppressors because while other people don't want to play this game, Kendall and Roman are programmed to always want to _win_ the game. Kendall also goes back to childhood mode and focuses on Roman.
The fact that so many fans of this show were still rooting for Logan after this episode tells us a lot about both our society and the quality of the writing on this show. He became a legitimate monster in this episode.
I loved Conner in his role decades ago in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off.

I think Roman and Tom are the only ones who genuinely liked the deal but mostly because it pleases Logan. Roman doesn't mind his family monopolizing because they'll be powerful. Kendall doesn't really like the deal because I think out of the three kids Kendall is the only who is somewhat in the middle when it comes to sociopolitics. He's aware of what the toxic news culture of ATN is but it's his family's bread and butter so he's fine with it as long as it's lucrative. I don't think Roman is as aware as he is. Also, Kendall is probably still upset about Vaulter, he really wanted that deal and thinks Logan's obsession with TV news is outdated. Kendall wants their stuff to be more tech and digital.

I think they cut to Kendall to show his reaction to his dad, that he doesn’t want to be there but feels completely trapped
yeah, to me Kendall just seem dead inside, not really up to anything or care about anything. Roman is being jealous of him getting Logan’s attention and everything, he wants validation and love

Oh god this episode is one of my favourites from this show. Every actor acted the shit out of this episode. Especially Brian Cox . And u should keep track on all the failures that Logan's kids r enduring no one is getting a win for now shiv failed to convince Connor , Roman can't do one job correctly. And Ken has become just another yes man for Logan . So no one for now is ready to be successor. And I agree tom and Greg r the most interesting characters from the show

I started rooting for Tom ever since Shiv asked for an open marriage. She knew Tom wasn't okay with it but she still proceeds to fuck the phonebook.
I could never root for Tom because he couldn't even share that he did cheat at the bachelor party, but wants the moral high ground (as Gerri pointed out in S1e4).
@@kvm6Tom called Shiv right before, twice. They had an arrangement for their bachelor(ette) party. That's not cheating.

I think you cut out a part where it's implied Tom saved Greg by suggesting it was Mo who talked. Unless I misunderstood it.
I dont understand why people never like connor. Yeah hes weird and full of himself but hes the only one in the show that's actually not a total scumbag and isnt trying to stab anyone in the back or ruin anyone's lives or take advantage of anyone. Likewise I dont know why people dont hate shiv more, she was extremely abusive and manipulative to tom here because of her purely selfish desires for power but these 2 completely ignored it
Tom literally this episode wanted to throw Gerri and Karl under the bus. He's selfish and wants power too.
And Connor can ruin lives if he becomes President.
This is an ep of TV I will always remember watching for the first time. It’s just so awful, but so well done.
