It makes me angry when Roman badmouths Connor by saying his mom was sent to a "booby hatch" (Mental Institution) Jeremy Strong has actually sung the whole rap in a studio for the soundtrack too! Also, I think Jeremy Strong's performance was first time the cast heard it, so their reactions are all genuine! (Love the very tiny smile on Logan's face which might be Brian Cox bleeding through). Such a solid cast that they didn't break character at all! Love the setup for the rap too, Greg calls Logan "Uncle Logs" which no one has ever done. Combine that with the fact that Ken has been living with Greg for a big part of this season and to me it seems like Ken might have rehearsed in front of Greg! (explaining his excitement).
@@rythmverma9780 either in ep1 or ep2 of S2, Ken says that he's changed home to be away from Rava's scent in his old home. (Park coke scene). He buys the "penthouse" for Greg and likely stays their to avoid being lonely at home. This is just a headcanon to make sense of events in S2 finale.
The way they use the Rose storyline is amazing. The subtleness Succession uses with this kind of things to develop the past of our characters with a couple of lines is another reason why this show’s writing is superb. Thanks to this one and GoT, I like way more the shows that don’t use flashbacks.
16:02 the way Achara's face lights up when Ken start rapping was absolute gold. And the point about Ewan is true; while he does preach what he preaches, he is part of the company that is so toxic. Ewan may not LIKE his brother, but he is incredibly loyal to him (the vote of no-confidence)

Marcia is one of those characters I wish we seen a lot more from, especially after season 1. Every time she's on screen I love the character and the actress's performance so much

I think Shiv didn't want to repeat how Rhea played her because she was embarrassed and walked right into it. Especially not in front of her brothers who already don't take her seriously. Greg turning down $250 million to keep working for Logan as Tom's henchman is a comically awful decision. He should have made a deal with his grandfather saying that he needs an allowance until he can access his inheritance.
If I remember correctly we got to see here the real reactions fo actor´s to Jeremy´s rap ,coz Jeremy has the approach of practicing alone so as many scenes as possible can feel organic, which really payed off here XD The scene was also based of a real event, I dont remember now which rich kid did this for their dad, but it happened.
Man, Jabs is so out of his element here. He is always second-guessing every thing he says, and he is bombarding Achara with questions because he knows he is out of it.
Fun fact: most of the cast, apart from Nicholas Braun weren't told about Kendall's rap that was going to happen so their reactions in that scene are genuine. Which makes the scene even funnier knowing they were actually surprised.
I've watched a few Succession reactions and yours, is by far, the best. Your post-game breakdowns are fun and watching the emotional push and pull is entertaining. Also, you don't 'judge' every word and action of these fatally flawed characters. They are who they are, for many reasons, and it's wild how you can hate and then feel for them within the same scene. Testament to the writing and acting. Subscribed for all these reasons.
Last few episodes of season 2 are all 10/10 in terms of writing, acting, balancing humor and drama, planting seeds for season 3 and 4. Plus, there are some golden moments like the Ken's rap scene. I agree with Jaby that all characters are awful people in their own ways. However, the non-family folks is probably the only group I would get behind, especially Gerri. All kids are at the end of the day spoilt and messed up brats with daddy's issues that manifest in a different way.
