11/6/24 Isaiah 7:1-17 (Special Lesson)

This passage includes one of the best known prophetic verses in the entire Bible: Isaiah 7:14.
Isaiah prophesied the birth of Immanuel to a virgin. The prophecy was made 735 years before Christ came to earth.
The passage begins at v. 1 with threat of attack by The Northern Kingdom of Israel allied with Syria against The Southern Kingdom of Judah. Isaiah was sent by Jehovah to advise Ahaz, king of Judah, that his two foes would not overrun Judah. In addition, he said The Northern Kingdom would cease to exist within sixty-five years. That is exactly what took place. The truth of that prophecy surely instilled confidence that the prophecy of Immanuel would also be fulfilled exactly as Jehovah, through Isaiah, had said.
