“Apply your clear passion for America to doing something positive for the community” ended him
she ATE with that
He was doing something positive, upholding the law
@@robertsmith7667no he wasn’t. Yes they were actors, but their characters were said to be approved for a green card to live and work in America. They were doing nothing illegal.

"You look racist." This lady was having way too much fun delivering the verbal smackdown when he confronted her, lmao.
She said what was needed to be said extremely well. Oof, don’t think she was having fun though. That took a lot of courage to express her thoughts smoothly!
This is the kind of Americans who are against wars. These are the kind is Americans that made America what it’s.
These are the kind of Americans that I’ll share my food and water with.
i feel like too many people know of this show now, i feel like she definitely knew. It makes it not feel as authentic. I think the solution is to have better actors and for them not to make it as obvious.
She was the best
is that not racist?
That first guy was so gentle and kind- I love that he chose not to go straight to anger and contention but made an effort at human connection. Good on him
His laugh though at end when he was talking to the old man … I loved it
I like the lady who told him he looks racist. To each their own, I guess.

They were actually quite heroic. I could only hope to be half as well spoken when confronted with this situation. Well done.
Latino immigrants do not have the luxury of hiding behind their skin color. If someone sees an immigrant from Norway for example, no one's really going to think about it unless they speak. However, people like myself who are Mexican-born but American, people notice us right away
Brown Canadian here and born and raised. My dad’s grandparents were born here too yet, I’ve had some racist stuff verbalized at me as a kid and it really ruined me at times. That last woman really brought tears to my eyes these days Canada has become super racist and it’s disgusting. Your progressing and Canada is regressing.
I agree.. im the only brown person in my family and they dont get that ppl automatically assume im illegal..
The only racist stuff I’ve experienced has been from black people! But, growing up in the Rio Grande Valley area in South Texas, back in the 70s-80s, I used to keep the fact that I had been born in Mexico from my “friends” (fellow Mexican kids). Back then, America born Mexicans looked down on Mexico born Mexicans, specially for newer arrivals, but mainly behind their backs. I think that this is still the case, to a degree. 🤷♂️
@ Hey Canadian here and it’s a very similar situation that you painted there. Out here Canadian born Indian, Mexican and Asian kids look down upon foreign born kids who grew up in Canada. Stateside born was acceptable but if they found out your a “FOB” and unless you had friends to back you up to support you, it’s just like how the black people treat y’all. I hope to raise my kids to appreciate everyone no matter where they came from as now you and I can both see Canada and America is going back on its racist ways deporting anyone not “white” basically. I hear the way white people talk about us even the Canadian and American black people got stupid things to say. Oddly enough the one crowd you won’t hear being openly racist af are the INDIGENOUS NATIVES! Besides its their land so it’s eye opening to see how welcoming they are to everyone even though the whites stole it all from em and wrote their name on the assignment calling these nations there’s.
Not all Latinos are the same color. That’s a stereotype. Me and my family are white and 💯 latino. And I get PISSED when people are surprised that I’m a native Spanish speaker.
This Program is so important for me. I always watch to recover my Hope in humankind. I am a Brazilian living in USA so I know that feeling.
That last lady made me cry a little. Such a beautiful reminder of how one person can make a difference.
I know the "trouble maker" guy. Great actor and very kind and sweet man. Y'all might of seen him in some films but he has one of those faces that is hard to pin down.

@ghosttundra Oh, he plays a pretty convincing bad guy. He was Pinhead on of the latest Hellraiser films.
@@ronaldmercado670 for real?? that's awesome :)
I feel for him having to say those awful words. At least the defenders finally knew he wasn’t a bad guy.
I've seen some actors who excelled at portraying a villain on WWYD (e.g. the guy at the bakery in Waco). Unfortunately I think the bad guy in this segment kinda bombed in his role, as least based on these clips that made it to air. He seemed to deflate quickly and wasn't particularly convincing.
While shopping at Walmart I saw $20 on the floor I didn’t pick it cuz I was afraid he might jump out saying why did you pick it 😂😂
“That money is an actor for the show What Would You Do? Why did you decide to pick up that money?”

The last lady had the perfect way of explaining the importance of allies and being there for each other. 🙂👍
We need more people like the first guy. Love him!!! 💙
And like the last lady
The setting of this segment really hits home for me even though I’m not an immigrant but some of my cousins have grandparents that come from Mexico
I am American but my parents are from Mexico and my grandparents from Spain and Portugal. I am white with green eyes and most people get a surprise when I them that I am Hispanic.
@@edithdlp8045 you're hispanic in the sense that you are a spanish speaker? And if your ancestors are from spain and portugal you are pretty much european by blood. Mexican ancestry by paper...but not by blood. All your blood comes from Europe. So you might as well tell them you are European cause you have no connection to mexico since you weren't born there and your parents may have not passed down any mexican culture to you.
Well Mexicans don’t identify by race like in the U.S.
You’d be surprised if you ever go to Jalisco, Mexico, ( they called them _tapatios_ ( like the hot sauce) there’s lots of people with green eyes, fair skin, light hair. The ancestors established there from countries like Spain and France.

Exactly. If you're here legally, you have every right to be here as much as a natural born American.
1st guy handled it the best.
To the last lady❤ what an incredible response. A true leader.
My father owns a company with less than 10 employees, and everyone he has hired is Mexican immigrants. He hired them not based on their skin color, but rather their merit. Because of them, the company has great success, and they are the most loyal and hard working employees I have ever seen. Anyone who would discriminate based off of that is truly missing out....
Hopefully they are legal amor he will be fined per person. So it's always a good idea to ask. Regardless off how it seems. That's the law. You don't drink amd drive do you ? So why not follow all laws. Have a nice day.
But are they "Legal" immigrants? The business might get fined by authorities if they found out. The penalty is per illegal immigrant hired.
@teachmehowtodoge1737 Yes, all legal
I don’t understand when someone hires nothing but one ethnic group and says it wasn’t based off of their ethnic group. Mexicans are not the only hard working group in this country. This country would not exist if it wasn’t for hardworking people throughout hundreds of years
@Nozylatten Applications require immigrants to provide documentation for employers. I'm saying anyone who would assume that all immigrants are illegal are not hire any based on their skin color are missing out.
That first guy could look menacing to some people and he reacted in the calmest way possible. Don’t judge a book by its cover, ever.

1:37 I would like expand upon what John Quinones said yes most latino do experience this BUT also asians , blacks , indians & other people of color/ different ethnic groups have experienced this as well because I think it's important to note & also just putting it out there for people who may not aware.
Go to literally any other country in the world. If you look out of character they’re gonna ask you the same thing, no matter what color your skin is
Why do you think they ask if you are Hispanic on job applications. Preferential treatment.

If they come to your country legally, respect your laws and work to the best of their abilities, then why would you not welcome them.
Because some people are bigots and dislike people who are different than them. Of course not all Americans are like that (my family and friends welcome all people). But some people just suck.
@@eklectiktonibelieve it or not, America is one of the most tolerant countries in the world when it comes to these issues. Try living somewhere else…. The racism in the east is horrific
Tbh, I don’t mind if they come here illegally from Mexico or Central or South America. Most are here to work and help their families back home; some are fleeing violence (El Salvado, for instance). On the other hand, I wouldn’t mind at all if some American citizens left. I’m not Latino or Hispanic, btw, just another child of a legal immigrant (which many here are).
Exactly! If they're here legally, they have just as much right to be here as a natural born American.
Because most of those immigrants would not respect American laws, standards, culture, rather would still keep their low standards, culture with them and would give trouble to Americans too just like what they do to each other in their own country.

The woman is a beautiful soul. We need more people like her. This is what a human being should be. Bravo 👏
See the problem nobody seems to understand is doing it the right way. My family were immigrants but did the process and came in the right way. Every single Latino family I know says that immigrants should come in the right way. The people coming into the country today by the bus loads is not normal.
Although I can understand your point, it does lack some empathy or a distortion of what reality is. To be able to come here “the right way” is already a privilege that many do no have. The reality is that most immigrants do not have the money to initiate the process or the time and safety to wait out until their paperwork gets approved to come here because their life is at risk. However, I do agree that lately the amount of immigrants coming here demanding for an apartment and monthly allowance from the government is insane. I don’t care how you get here as long as you’re willing to put in the hard work for a better life and contribute to your community. So many immigrants come here illegally but work hard everyday and pay taxes so why should we punish them for how they came here when they’re living as an upright citizen and these are people who’ve been here for 20+ years but yet the recent immigrants from Venezuela who are doing it the right way are the ones causing mayhem demanding things be served to them on a silver platter.
The right way.... Nearly every asylum seeker has come through a legal point of entry.

Something similar happened to me, but it was on an international airport in Munich. I was 19 years old and on our way to visit family in China, and when we were about to walk through the EU customs ATM, a white dude asked us where we got our Austrian passport. I've been flying to China and back to Austria, since I moved to Austria in 2002. We got our citizenship in 2003 and until then, no one questioned our citizenship! When I walked through customs, and I told him that we got our citizenship from the government, he didn't believe me. Well, I told him that I don't care what he thinks, and if the passport would be fake I wouldn't be standing on the other side of the ATM. That made his grin fall and got the hell out of there. If he would've kept bothering us, I would've asked for the police. Assholes are everywhere.
Sorry for your experience, but I can’t really empathize with you, considering how poorly I have be treated in China as a non-white tourist or during a layover. Best of luck moving forward.

When I was working at a Mexican restaurant a dad came in with his young son. I went over greeted them and the guy with a serious face looks at the menu while his son is watching and asked “Yall have any real American food here?”.

That happened for me one time when a home depot employee refused to give me help to buy some stuff because " that was not the section he works " the problem was that in the same moment he turned around and helped a person " white american " that had the same questions than me, that very same moment I noticed what was happening and that really hit me. I was a greencard holder who was enlisted in the Army to serve the country, which gave me a lot of opportunities to persuade the dreams I have. That did not put me down. Actually, that made me strong, and some weeks later, I had the opportunity to meet many great people in The Army ,people who do not care about the way a look, but I way I act ! Now I am an American, and it is amazing how this country works, I love it, and I will always be graceful for the opportunity to be part of it !
Well we all saw how America voted, it's still gonna happen and even more so
That shouldn’t be a problem in a job application
As long as they are there here legally, it’s not a problem.
American citizenship doesn't affect your skin color. Being black or Hispanic doesn't mean someone is an illegal immigrant. Legal immigration exists. Plus, someone born in the USA can still have a different skin color.
I work in laughlin nevada, and we are hiring badly. I am a supervisor for 2 hotels. We desperately need people to work. No one is applying at all. We pay very well, Americans these days do not want to work. So instead let these people in to work. They work hard because they come from a place where their country has failed them. They need and want so badly to have a better life. Can you blame that on them? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
Don't believe false propaganda about how they will create such a deficit in this country. But instead help this country more than you know.
We send billions upon billions to foreign aid, yet we can't help some people get jobs and be a product of society.
To run a country is to provide for your country, men, and women. Despite where you come from, i welcome you to this country as it is falling apart.
What is paying well? I'm a blue collar Tejano looking for a stable job with good pay and benefits.

Still one of my favorite programs. I truly believe John Quiñones show will go down in history as the voice of American conscince
"Don't look American." Indigenous peoples were here before "Americans", the European people migrated into this land after Columbus accidentally found it while trying to find short cut to the land in the east, India. The natives indigenous were here before any of the whites, blacks and yellows. Stating that, we need better solutions for immigration, instead of just playing politics and political stunts. That just immature behavior coming from political leaders. However political leaders are politicians, they give lip service to whomever pay them and keep them in office. It looks like politicians are in for the money not to serve the people.

You know to those supporting illegal migrants, do you know how insulting it is to every single other person who doesn't live in Mexico and can't jump the border to enter the "land of opportunity", We have to go through a whole process before entering the country and becoming legal citizens.
And when your first act of entering a country isn't a crime, and you are thoroughly checked you prosper in said country and you don't worry about sex-traffickers and rapists coming inwith you.
I didn't like how in this episode, John is supporting people who are abusing the man who is clearly just raising a valid concern. It hasn't even been a month when the last woman who was killed by an illegal.
Obviously all humans aren't bad, but there is a process to enter a country, and you need to work for that process first instead of taking an easy shortcut and then making it happen. It is obviously rude to call someone out like that without being informed, but it is a valid concern and people acting that defensive about the matter rather than the behaviour is a perfect representation of what is wrong with leftist society and why so many people are leaving it.
This is not a new question. Everyone answers it. Stop acting like immigrants are exempt from answering that question.
