I've been doing a big build on a Laguna Perfuma island because I thought it would probably be big, it's mostly flat, I liked the flowers and it was fairly simple to get a square island generated which I needed for what I was going to do with it. How does that compare in terms of build height and depth and overall size?
@@BenXC Thanks! I was asking just in case you knew, no point in duplicating work. For anyone else who is curious, my Laguna Perfuma island is 30 below sea level, 65 above, and 389x418 wide, including the bits that stuck out randomly.
Ahoi there, useing the lava to get a block layer straight on the water is a great idea. I've never thought about it. I used to expand in a one block layer above sea level, just to have a flat survace to build on, what made cellars and the irigation system for the farms a bit tricky^^ And I didn't hade the binoculars at first, 'cause I didn't knew what exactly they do (and I didn't wantet to complete all table targets -.-''). So it was a funny saturday evening, spending three hours puting down gras blocks. This was the time I leard how to use the switch controler with one hand :D PS: just caught my mind, wath happens if you poor out lava straight under water, or is it impossible to do so?
Yeah I can imagine that it was a bit tricky^^ and I also didn't really use the buildnoculars once I got them. I think I finally started usind them 1 month later 🙈 and unfortunately you can't pour lava underwater, only on the top layer of the water.
Hey Daniele, the best usage I found yet was to use magnet blocks with it (it's in my ultimate magnet block guide somwhere in the middle). It's like a repeater.
For pouring the lava, I actually have a pencil blueprint set that handles the spacing for me to save on the counting. It's just two blocks and the pre-measured gap between them.
BenXC Hi, sorry I’m so late thanks for responding! I haven’t been able to complete the build a room somewhere down low target, breed some pets, build a room up high, build a room your residents like, recruit residents with different jobs and make lots of different tile types on your map
Hey Elora, thank you! :) You can unlock the tool called "Buildnoculars" by completing all 60 tablet targets and enable it then with a press on the right analog stick. And everything is possible on all consoles. The game versions are identical.
I've been going through te explorer shores to find builders best that I want to recreate, but sometimes I come across someone who used dead trees, whitchgrass, cherry blossoms, tree branches, ivy's and you know what I mean in their builds and I'm wondering how they did that. I just completed the story and have yet to go to the buildertopia and the newest explorers shores. but I want to know how people use those items in their builds. will the gloves be upgraded after a certain amount of compleet tablet targets so you can pick up entire trees of something. You can get an endgame hammer called the "Ultimallet" this one will destroy all items in a way so you can pick them up like they are in the game. If you need help to acquire it I have a video about it somewhere. Just search for ultimallet :)
its a realy cool , helpfull video! _but_! Terraforming is not only making new landmasses. its also about flatting mountains. maybe you can show us a cool way to kill the mountain in the background? :3

Haha don't feel bad. I always thought it is slime that I picked up, so I never read the item description. I also only knew it was oil when a video told me about it^^
if you ever need infinite blocks you can build wood blocks from your infinite wood resource. whenever I'm collecting grass topped ground blocks from random maps I swap it for wood blocks with trowel. wish I knew a faster way to collect it. I wish I got the binoculars.
Yeah that's also a good idea :) I also have almost unlimited earth blocks on a different island (from destroying them with my golem). I guess that's why I used those ^^
Have you ever tried destroying all of Isle of Awakening? I'm curious to find out how much of it can be destroyed. I'm going to save a file and give it a try.
is coping some parts of ground with blueprints to let people work for you a good idea? Other question: why do you terraform with a ground under sea level? like 8 block down the sea level
Why not use iridescent island buildertopia? you can remove the lava with the pot since you carry it with the pot. You have much lower "sea level" on that island allowing you to build like the towers that naturally appear on it. Those towers can be taken down with the golem if you can get him to climb up to the top and mine them down.
You know the golem can 'fit' in one block wide holes right? Also I prefer to just use the pot for large bodies of water, just take a bundle of blocks to build straight up, use pot, dig back down, continue using pot, only bring the golem out after removing all water upto to non-buildable area, then do your walls
I don't quite understand, can you explain it a bit more in detail? You mean you get rid of all water with only the lava pot? But it only converts the top layer of a body of water into blocks.
@@BenXC No, I ignore the lava altogether and just scoop up all the water via temporary tower blocks, remember you can place blocks directly beneath you when you jump
