@@rahulsahu7786Deserving factor is there but, See CDS is a four star military rank i.e Rank of a General, if someone has been appointed as CDS , even if the person is a 3 star military officer then the person will first be promoted to a four star officer and then will be appointed as CDS, as far as I now.
@@raunakkumarray Don't confuse rank with appointment. He is a Lt Gen who has been appointed as CDS. There is a difference between rank and appointment. CDS is an appointment which can be held by anyone who is atleast Lt Gen or equivalent in IAF and Navy.
