What is the accuracy of Iskander missiles
ฝัง

- Russia possesses the largest and most diverse nuclear missile force globally, inherited from the Soviet era. Throughout its conflict with Ukraine, Russia has effectively deployed various missile systems, including ballistic and cruise missiles. Among these, the 9K720 Iskander stands out for its speed and accuracy, often proving to be a potent weapon on the battlefield.
One notable instance of the Iskander missile's effectiveness was seen last year when the Russian military introduced a new tactic. They fired Iskander missiles multiple times at the same target, surprising the Ukrainian forces and causing significant damage. This tactic was possible because Iskander missiles can launch two missiles from a single vehicle, enhancing their firepower considerably.
Russia's heavy reliance on this missile really shows how much faith they have in its abilities. It leaves us questioning just how accurate it is, and is it truly that formidable?

I don’t understand why people keep trying to use “the Soviet” era derogatorily. The Abraham’s and F16 both date from the Soviet era.
Because Western propagandistic media says everything Soviet was bad quality or poor 🤡
80% of all US weapons were made when the Soviet Union was still a country.
👆🏽
Искандер разработан уже в России в СССР была система Ока которая попала под договор о сокращении вооружения ,а именно ракет средней дальности .
This is kind of propaganda - to emphasize and suggest, that the Russians couldn't do anything good by theirself, but they must to lie on Soviet's achievements...
I suggest to ask those french soldiers in Slavyansk, how accurate Iskander is. Not sure they would be there to answer though.
Exactly heard that the survivors ran away 😂
The survivors are back in France. They dont want that smoke. 😂

Chould be true, after terror attack he is legit target and russia is looking for him. But we need confirmation first, these rumours has been around earlier too
@@chewpchewp9670 Remember, I've stated unconfirmed!
Your intro states Russia has a missile legacy from the USSR. Well OK, but Iskander wasn't put into use until 2006. This means Iskander was put in use under modern Russia not the USSR. Development began in 1988 and first successful launch was in 1996. First use in combat was in 2008. Iskander travels near Mach 6 and is considered ballistic. Kinzhal is non ballistic and travels at mach 10 with greater range than Iskander. Both weapons systems are very fast and difficult to impossible for current western anti aircraft systems to intercept. The Patriot intercept missiles of the U.S. travel at between mach 3 to 5 and are slower than either the Iskander or Kinzhal.
Lmao highly inaccurate… the PAAC 4 SkyCeptor can easily knock those bad boys down though I mean even the older PAC 3 and 2 that Ukraine has is knocking them out of the air. Though I mean Ukrainian capability and the United States capabilities are far different logos the US can knock ANYTHING it wants out of the sky.
@@williammurphy-zp6njfor your sake I hope you never find out
@@williammurphy-zp6njYou mean a lot
Nobody claims it was deployed under the USSR but the whole military industrial infrastructure of Russia is of Soviet origin. Soviets spent billions of rubles educating scientists, engineers, creating programs and institutions, developing the experience and the know how with which these weapons could be produced. Most people who work in those institutions even today were born and educated in the USSR as well as having inherited the culture and the expertise to design and build these weapons. Iskander is a result of that heritage, end of story.
Wrong ...Kinzhal is an air launched ballistic missile, and both have around the same range..... yes they can be intercepted in the lower atmosphere where they have to slow down to supersonic speeds in the "thicker" air. US interceptors SM-3 Block 1A/B can do Mach 8.8, the Block IIA can do Mach 13.2 !

Iskander is no joke
I would consider Ukrainian conflict a world war honestly. It’s collective West vs collective South. Ukraine just got convinced into using their people to test Russia’s defences on NATOs behalf , but the collective West didn’t realise that during all conflicts Russia first gets punched really hard, learns and comes back with a win. Russian military is much stronger now than it was before the war, and it has large scale combat experience (not chasing flip flop wearing beduins) and it knows how to deal with Western weapons now. The West should have been friends with Russia not enemies. Now the world is going to shit thanks to the decision makers the people of the West have elected.
Totally agree..
I see this conflict as pointless. West has history of bombing many countries and has accepted illegal separation of Kosovo that belongs to another country. So now we are heading towards ww3 or maybe are in ww3, because Ukraine is bombed and they lost 20% of its territory? War over something that has been accepted as normal by Western standards? That seems detached from reality, and politics and media of both sides are completely opposite from one another. That is dangerous.
True
You don't understand how democracy works. The elected politicians are only actors who do and say what ever they are told to do and say. The decision making process is controlled by the civil servants.
It wasn't the first Patriot missile system it was the last Patriot missile system because they're all gone now😂😂

exactly! on the top of that patriot is not able to intercept almost any russian missile. maybe drone or aircraft, but russia is using guided bombs far from battle zone and patriots are deep in ukraine defense zone. and they are not able to shoot down migs in 20 km altitute anyway. patriot missiles are quite slow and short range. mig can shoot them down or fly away...
According to rumors, a few more arrived in Kyiv, not sure how many tho, and a couple has already been deleted, lol
Accuracy being that if your GPS targeted by Iskander, you’re gonna have a really bad day. That being your last day. Period

US fanboys really quiet 😂😂😂
Taking out a patriot defense system WHILE BEING TRANSPORTED ISN'T REALLY AN ACHIEVEMENT
Taking out 2 Patriot missile systems as the video stated, is not the same as taking out two Patriot launchers. Each system is comprised of up to 8 launchers. So while taking out one quarter of a system's replaceable launchers is good for Russia--especially for propaganda--it is no where near as impactful as destroying 2 Systems. Of course destroying any air defenses is important, especially in this new style of warfare. Had the launchers been properly used as intended, further to the rear, set up ready to fire, instead of sitting there at the front for far too long, the outcome likely would have different. The Iskander seems effective at what it does, but is limited by its range.
@@TacoTomtheBomb😂
@TacoTomtheBomb
It's limited by its range only due to the short and medium range missiles agreement between the US and Russia, which now is off the table btw as far as I know. And which means that the range of newly produced missiles isn't necessarily 400-500 km anymore. But even 400-500 km is pretty much enough for Ukraine war theater. For greater ranges there are bigger better toys in Russia's arsenal, Russia can pretty much reach anything anywhere on this planet, and then some more.
@@Sevastopol91 Yeah there are a lot of weapons that haven't been used yet, probably best to keep it that way. I for one don't need to see a successful missile strike from half way around the world. Regional defensive missiles are one thing, long range ones will get us all in trouble because sooner or later someone will launch one.
Damn, i have never seen a shovel that big can fly. 💀
The MSM told us that Russia was running out of bullets and rockets and tanks and soldiers and that Ukraine is winning the war I think you call that propaganda 😂
Russia needed to fight with shovels because they ran out of bullets and drop washing machines from their planes because they ran out of bombs. Russia has a sense of humor.
But but but celenskyy said they intercepted one using a targeted building 🤡🤡🤡
Well that Patriot system took it out, by being hit. So, I agree, it is just a matter of perspective.
America can’t match it with their old missiles
less copium ivan, all your lies dont change the reality. Did you learn nothing from the collapse of the USSR?
America has prsm Precision strike missile
that sounds like the biggest myth. They spend 900 BILLION for their military. Dont you think they have that ultra advanced stuff already , keeping it for when shit hits the fan? Russia would be a joke to the US if they fought only with ground troops and without nukes
*400km is too short to hit America from the Russian territory* anyways, except in Alaska. And it that case, the launchers would be *vulnerable to air strikes.*
In fact, none of the 36 nations of the American continent, nor the dependencies of extra-continental nations on the continent of America, really felt the need to develop a weapon specifically to counter the Iskander missile, because *they didn't see it as a real threat on their territory.*
*The situation in Easter and Central Europe and Asia is very different* and as *diverse* as the economic characteristics of each nation. The case of Ukraine is particularly dire because their budget was a bit small to face such a threat, and this nation never really prepared for war. They had no plans to attack anyone, were trying to have the best international relations possible, and thought that all the other nations around them, including Russia, would had much better things to do than try to destroy them at any cost. Now it's quite late to find clean and safe solutions to this (deterrent, I mean), so I expect to see dirty solutions only.
US missiles are just as good. The problem is that Americans are convinced that nobody else can make decent missiles.
I like how people just brush past the fab 3000 glide missiles. They are basically Soviet era missiles. That Russia has an abundance of,with a modern attachment that helps them glide and are extremely accurate. The reason Russia hasn’t used them yet is because they are so destructive. I don’t know if they are comparable to a Moab or something less than nuclear. I know they are powerful

They are dropping the fab 500 as of recent and that alone is quite a huge bomb

Well being the Russians were the first to get up into space, first to the moon, first to Venus (multiple times), first to mars (multiple times) etc etc.
They have always been more than decent at Rockets, and as such made decent missiles. People like to talk shit about how bad Russians are, and yea sure, we have some better stuff, but we also have 10x the defense budget to do so in the US.
*Though,* if there wasn't such bad corruption over there back in Soviet times stealing money that could of help with development even more, who knows how great they could of been over there in theses areas of rocket science and such.
Also putin was shown a video (By his own cabinet) proving that the american moon landing was fake. hahahahaha. He thought it was quite funny. It sounds like a joke but its real. I saw a video of putin being shown the proof.

You want to know what we think about the Iskandar missile? We dont want to think or say anything about it. It is a scary weapon.
Design is very awsm
The Iskander 9M723 / 9M729 missiles are only used for targets from 200 to 500kms due to its cost and scarcity (even in 2024, only 38units/month are produced). The most heavily used missiles are the smaller M542 and M544 both only 300mm diameter but use the same guidance system as 9M7 series with range of only 70-220kms. Current production is around 120 units of M5 series per month. This is why Ukraine is running low on surface to air missiles. NATO is not keeping up with Russia in supply of Patriot type missiles. Ukraine will soon have huge losses.
Iskander kick ass
Also it's accuracy has been proven to be one meter😂
Lovely Iskander
Iskander is a variant of the name Alexander in cultures such as Iran (Persia), Arabia and others throughout the Middle East, Caucasus and Central Asia. In Egypt, its bearers are mostly of Christian (Coptic) descent. Originally referring to Alexander the Great. That's why I think it's fantastic that this excellent rocket has that name. Because it mostly refers to a great military leader, one of the greatest in history, and because its name connects a multitude of cultures that live both in Russia itself and in the regions next to Russia. Perhaps the very thought of naming a weapon is foreign and disgusting to some, since weapons are used to kill, on the other hand, we live in a violent world. And in a violent world, we unfortunately still need weapons. P.S. Well, if that's the case, at least it should have a nice name, if it "must" exist..
