Ensnaring arrow not applying a debuff is not a bug. Gem says it applies debuff to the last target it hits. Venging Cascade makes projectile return to you and pierce all the targets, so there will be no "last target" to trigger debuff. Pierce also breaks it in case of single target.

hey palsteron, now that i've watched 5 minutes of this video and glanced at the pob, i've discovered something that you obviously didn't consider. did you know that you can increase your max hit by a ton by equipping fourth vow, using divine flesh instead of your current jewel, and replacing anger with determination? looks a lot better in pob than silly things like movement speed.

Sometimes I view a video about a build and it feels like I am at a car shop and the salesman is trying to sell me something... No! A build cannot be "good for everything" unless you play something with absurd budget. This video summarizes the important parts perfectly and covers everything somebody needs to know to play this. Ensnaring Arrow needs to end in the target (no pierce, split, chain, or fork) in order to apply the ensnared buff. It works with Ricochet (+1 chain) if there are no nearby monsters to chain to. About differences in rounding mana costs between game and PoB: try switching the order of your support gems in the links. The game gets super weird with rounding.
the game rounds to 2 decimal digits and always rounds down or something like that, hence switching the order in which the supports are applied changes the final result of the mana calculation and yes, ensnaring works if you dont have pierce and have enough aoe to make the mob stay within range of the vine...
You forgot to mention return in the arrow order, which is last. Vengeant cascade make projectiles return to you, so you are always the final target, not the enemy. With vengeant cascade ensaring arrow will never apply any debuff. Snipers mark will also prevent the target from being the final target, due the split mechanic on it.
Finally managed to tear myself away from playing the build enough to leave a comment. I made a Private league/SSF scuffed version without Omniscience and it still blows thru maps like crazy. Big thank you to both you and Chigurh for re-validating the deadeye class and playstyle for me!
@@poeyoink Short answer is I used a rare neck and moved into Yoke of Suffering, once I had the required mana cost reduction elsewhere. I traded the large cluster jewel for a medium crit jewel and invested the other points in some more elemental dmg, ailment effect and some defense. There are PoBs available on thru profile here, just feels exceedingly sleazy to drop links in Pal's area and I came here to prop him up, not myself.
I gave this a shot since I had been saving up for a fun crazy build for a while now. Man I'm surprised how easily this comes online. Haven't even capped my resists yet or crafted a better crucible tree on the bow yet or any min-maxing and it's instantly clearing t16s. What the hell lol. Reminds me so much of Poet's Pen spam from a few years back. update: got mana cost down with new helmet, it's actually sick.
Thanks so much for explaining the interaction between Vengeant Cascade and chain. I was wondering why I wasn't clearing screens with a 1.1k dps bow. Switched off chain on ascendency and spec'd into pierce. Now the build is working, lol
One bit of tech on this that might be useful: the new life mastery node that replaces 30% of mana cost with life cost. Might allow for a larger amount of setups that still get the same final result of 4 or higher on Scourge and no more than 1 on the rest. And the tiny life cost would be completely offset by even small amounts of lgoh.
Awesome video! Thx Pal! Watched the whole video and twice the mana and gem setup parts and cascade part, but still have some questions! Checked the wiki also about Inspiration Charges to be extra sure. They are global. As long you can generate (on any link, anywhere else) all other skills that are supported even if they cost zero mana, still gets all benefits from the charges. So it could be better if Scourge Arrow generates the charges? Since this the skill that will proc manaforged anyways so has to have mana cost. And all the other skills can be 0 mana, so less juggling on reduced mana crafts? The wiki on manaforged also clarifies that zero manacost bow skills can be activated this way, or even if they cost only life. Yes this is an extra support gem, so takes away a gemslot. The other questions are about non-omni variant of the build and vengeant cascade projectile interactions. So projectile behavior does not "allow" us to "put" and extra pierce on our chained attacks to pierce that last target THEN cascade would come back from the pierce and hit again. The last chained target cant be cascaded but everything else will be pierced when the projectiles comes back. If i get this right, also You mentioned this when chains came up in the video. On a non-omni version, where i would like to stack chains for a Gloomfang conversion scaling approach could work with this setup? More chains and proj. mastery for it would be better than far shot? Or beside Omni, there are no decent alternatives to scale dmg? Currently playing 7-link (lvl10 chain crucible passive) Iceshot. Heatshiver+Gloomfang chain style and got 4 chains. My clear is super fine, but single target is a big issue with chain. Snipers mark helps a lot, but my 2nd 6link totem "singletarget support" is akward and does just about 30+% of my damage potential (no chains). This manaforged tech can be implemented as a really decent support too?
I've added Ancestral Vision to the build. With Thick skin cluster and Shaper ailments avoid on boots I got full ailments immunity. Feels good for not that much investment. The extinguish on hit probably works good as well in your case.

Hey palsteron, the Commandment of Fury glove enchantment is pretty easy to get. It adds a 1 million damage hit every 3s, but it actually usually hits at least 2 times and just adds to the chaos of everything. The more projectiles you fire, the longer commandment of fury is firing individual projectiles that go off screen around you in a spiral and return. On a per hit basis, they hit as hard or harder than individual shots from most of the manaforge setups. For me, it fires 14 projectiles that take about a second to finish returning because they fire in sequence and can "shotgun" on return.
Heya Palsteron just a quick question on how you crafted the gloves and helm, I understand the best method is a fractured suffix did you essence spam chaos resist what were the next steps to get the prefixes you wanted?
Honestly that's the most fun I've ever had just farming maps, lol. One button spam, homing missiles, pure perfection. Connects in around 50 div, which is quite reasonable price, for more than a month in league.
I did spend 15 div on bow, 6 on quiver and the rest is probably around 6-8. Best mapper I've ever tried, but I am doing it on Sabo with 5.1 mil DPS on Pinnacle bosses and 6.5 mil on normal mobs. Would probably improve it by 20-30% but it's fun as it is)
this looks very fun, already running LA deadeye with a bunch of manaforged shots for various support effects but might respec to this since that autotargeting nuke style looks so fun

How are you getting your attack skill(s) to only cost 1 mana? Level 14 Burning Arrow let's say is 10 Mana and with the cost multiplier from manaforged and inspiration, it equals 22 mana. 2x -7 mana crafted rings equals -14 mana which leaves 8 mana cost for BA. Even with a -mana % cost helm enchant or w/e, you cant get BA to 1 mana cost. Why can't I see it.
As soon as I saw Manaforged arrows I knew some crazy shit was about to come. A passive skill that lets you use 6 links??? WOOOOOO. I was thinking making a energy shield/mana dumper build that uses 200 mana each cast so the manaforged arrow procs every single time and arrow nova with a nice damage over time bow skill for the manaforge links. And then for main skill maybe Barrage with the skill that makes it so all your arrows go in straight lines instead of spreading with mirage archer. And then a 4 link balista skill with blind and cull. Edit: Ohhhh i didnt know manaforged has internal cooldown to prevent 1 skill spam with enhance damage links.
Was messing around with leveling a build like this and found that blast rain felt useless since it only hits at the feet of the character and would say you might be better off with explosive arrow or a different skill up to you use but explosive arrow feels great so far while leveling.
I figured out why ensnaring arrow not applying snares. Wiki says it applies snare after chaining piercing etc. so because this build has a lot of pierce it won’t apply single on single target.
I saw steel roll this build and took your PoB in an attempt to roll a mapper to use aside from my totem bosser and its really fun, if you update the build i hope you make a update video
Awesome build. Liked it very much. Tell me, it turns out that gaining attack speed in it makes little sense? The main current is to reduce the cooldown of the trigger skill?
Btw: If you put inspiration on the trigger link, all other skills are fine to not use any mana if you link inspiration to them, as the main link will generate inpsiration charges and other links will use them.
Makes sense. It's the same thing you do with RF and lifetap. You link lifetap with RF, but RF won't trigger the life tap to get the buff. You link lifetap to shield charge so whenever you shield charge (which is always) it procs the lifetap and now RF get's the buff that way.
Id say around 50 div to start. You want a nice rolled omni and the cdr gear, a decent tri ele crit bow and you need the cruc node which can be a pain to craft. Standard skillgems are fine to begin imo. Cluster not needed initially.
I made this, playing it now. Except! I went with Vaal Ice Shot for rare and unique mobs, and Vaal Burning Arrow for 3 big super shots. Im sure you can go with Vaal Lightning too for aoe stuns, I did not. Great thing is the Vaal is a free build up even from Manaforged support. Love this. Great clearing build, low investment.🎉

I really think you should encourage MFA glove setup into your TR ballista starter guide the quality of life for a new player is off the charts when they are trying to dodge the ludicrous amount of death mechanics this game throws you as a new player. Love this build though !!! Once I’m done with meme totems build I’ll have a red hot crack at this.
That bow is obviously needed with those crucible passives. Can we get a hint of how to get one? Do we need to buy multiple fractured bows and do crucible until we hit the right combination? is there an easier way? Any advice would be welcomed!
None of the affixes of the feeder items matter at all. Not even the base type, beyond that it needs to be a bow. Just buy garbage bows with passives you want and feed them to a good fractured bow. Unlock passives you want to keep on both bows, feed trash bow to fractured bow, repeat until you have a tree you like.
You can buy one fractured bow and craft the crucible tree on that one. The bottom item is never destroyed and merges trees with the top in the forge. It can be very costly as bows with good crucible passives can cost 1 divine for having one. Then you need to merge that one passive with another 1 divine bow and end up losing all progress sometimes. To get around this you can imprint your bow each time you forge it. Would probably not use imprints until you get 2-3 expensive crucible passives on your bow though. I have just been putting bows into crucible and dumping them into a 50c tab, if I get messages for it check to see what mod is good and if I need it, if not just sell it. My friend spent 40 divines crafting his. Has two 20% attribute nodes with, attack speed and triple elemental damage. Spent days listening to him complain about passives getting removed.
So, I'm having an issue with being limited on how quickly I can attack. I attack three times for every volley, so I'm assuming it's because of cooldown reduction. The thing is, you only have like 32%~ on the pob you posted that I'm following.
You counted only boots and belt i guess, but bow need to have crucible tree passive with 25% cooldown reduction. And yeah, just check 14:27 for every source of reduction written down.
@@old_danuwa Cause that is what it was listed for by like 50 listings at the time. I didn't know to hold till later in the legue when people had more currency.
@@totallynottrademarked5279 its not worth to hold items, if you get a rare drop very early in league sell it if you're not going to use it, and use the money to build up. Also, inflation, 4 divines are worth way more day 1-2 in league than 14 divines are worth now.

Why don't you use Barrage (I mean the skill not the support) in one of the manaforged links? The number looks great with Farshot. Is it s not working properly?
Will this build be possible in standard after the league is over? Don't have the money for the build at the moment, but would love to build towards it after the league is over (I know we won't have crucible trees anymore, that's why I am asking).
Did you take into account its crucible passives? It has 15% increased magnitude of explicit (elemental damage) modifiers and the first node also adds a bunch of flat.
Great build :D I'll be trying it with Death Rush in one ring slot, while having clarity in second unset ring and watchers eye that gives lacking "reduced cost of non-channeling skills while affected by clarity". With Adranaline from Death Rush it could be even better mapper :D

You get the focus skill as long as you have any mod that mentions it, he has double damage when focussed on his bow so it automatically gets added to his skills
I assume it's a lab enchant, might have a possibility to drop from a specific league mechanic but I'm not sure which. Easiest is usually to try buying one if in trade

I ran this on a budget with hyrris amulet, also tried yoke. You want omni in the end, but you have to change to attribute gear, which can be cumbersome.
from my testing, galvanic needs to hit a wall or a lot of proj speed to hit the offscreen cap to return. ensnaring arrow acts like EA, the debuff is only inflicted when the projectile is destroyed. if you're still looking for a decent skill to replace something, what about elemental hit?
@@tether23 it does only get added damage if it picks the corresponding element, yes. however, it would not surpise me if it would perform better in this build than galvanic does, simply because it functions better with cascade, while also having an aoe component for clearing packs as well as huge base damage.
@@fkaliases nah fam, if you wanna do something smart add Lightning Arrow + Overcharged support, some guy in the comment said he's consistently getting 50% shocks even on big bosses with this setup

Don't you want exactly 1 pierce for vengeant cascade to work? If you have two pierce, the sequence of projectiles is not followed and you do not hit twice with cascade.
Are you sure about that? I think with my 4 pierce on my LA build the VC still hit the single target always a second time when arrow returns, but actually what you say makes sense, maybe we need to test this.

I foumd hyrris amulet working also well on a budget.

Been considering doing the same. Lethal Pride is something like 300 stat in the final build, though, so I'm kinda torn about replacing it.

Great vid Palsteron. What things would change with a mageblood on the build, or is using that simply not worth it at all? For example you can double dip the 25% mana reduction flask up to like 50% which could make ring enchants less necessary?

How are you getting your attack skill(s) to only cost 1 mana? Level 14 Burning Arrow let's say is 10 Mana and with the cost multiplier from manaforged and inspiration, it equals 22 mana. 2x -7 mana crafted rings equals -14 mana which leaves 8 mana cost for BA. Even with a -mana % cost helm enchant or w/e, you cant get BA to 1 mana cost. Why can't I see it.
Inspiration reduces mana cost too.
How do you build this , yes I'm a noob but this looks fantastic once you have the manaforge skill where do you go from there???
Im curious about withering touch and barrage linked to chaos and physical based bow skills, and the 5% chance for wither to inflict max stacks.
As soon as I saw Manaforged arrows I knew some crazy shit was about to come. A passive skill that lets you use 6 links??? WOOOOOO. I was thinking making a energy shield/mana dumper build that uses 200 mana each cast so the manaforged arrow procs every single time and arrow nova with a nice damage over time bow skill for the manaforge links. And then for main skill maybe Barrage with the skill that makes it so all your arrows go in straight lines instead of spreading with mirage archer. And then a 4 link balista skill with blind and cull.
Edit: Ohhhh i didnt know manaforged has internal cooldown to prevent 1 skill spam with enhance damage links.

How viable will this build be in league 2.22?
Was messing around with leveling a build like this and found that blast rain felt useless since it only hits at the feet of the character and would say you might be better off with explosive arrow or a different skill up to you use but explosive arrow feels great so far while leveling.
I figured out why ensnaring arrow not applying snares. Wiki says it applies snare after chaining piercing etc. so because this build has a lot of pierce it won’t apply single on single target.
What about bandits and alira?
I saw steel roll this build and took your PoB in an attempt to roll a mapper to use aside from my totem bosser and its really fun, if you update the build i hope you make a update video
Awesome build. Liked it very much. Tell me, it turns out that gaining attack speed in it makes little sense? The main current is to reduce the cooldown of the trigger skill?
Extra attack speed still makes the build FEEL better, so getting a little bit makes sense!

Btw: If you put inspiration on the trigger link, all other skills are fine to not use any mana if you link inspiration to them, as the main link will generate inpsiration charges and other links will use them.
Makes sense. It's the same thing you do with RF and lifetap. You link lifetap with RF, but RF won't trigger the life tap to get the buff. You link lifetap to shield charge so whenever you shield charge (which is always) it procs the lifetap and now RF get's the buff that way.
What's the rough cost on this build? Looks like 100+ divs. Any way to build up into this or is it all or nothing?
Id say around 50 div to start. You want a nice rolled omni and the cdr gear, a decent tri ele crit bow and you need the cruc node which can be a pain to craft. Standard skillgems are fine to begin imo. Cluster not needed initially.

Why do you take pierce on the tree ? Vegent cascade says projectiles pierce all targets

I made this, playing it now. Except! I went with Vaal Ice Shot for rare and unique mobs, and Vaal Burning Arrow for 3 big super shots. Im sure you can go with Vaal Lightning too for aoe stuns, I did not. Great thing is the Vaal is a free build up even from Manaforged support. Love this. Great clearing build, low investment.🎉

I really think you should encourage MFA glove setup into your TR ballista starter guide the quality of life for a new player is off the charts when they are trying to dodge the ludicrous amount of death mechanics this game throws you as a new player. Love this build though !!! Once I’m done with meme totems build I’ll have a red hot crack at this.

That bow is obviously needed with those crucible passives. Can we get a hint of how to get one? Do we need to buy multiple fractured bows and do crucible until we hit the right combination? is there an easier way? Any advice would be welcomed!
None of the affixes of the feeder items matter at all. Not even the base type, beyond that it needs to be a bow. Just buy garbage bows with passives you want and feed them to a good fractured bow. Unlock passives you want to keep on both bows, feed trash bow to fractured bow, repeat until you have a tree you like.
You can buy one fractured bow and craft the crucible tree on that one. The bottom item is never destroyed and merges trees with the top in the forge. It can be very costly as bows with good crucible passives can cost 1 divine for having one. Then you need to merge that one passive with another 1 divine bow and end up losing all progress sometimes. To get around this you can imprint your bow each time you forge it. Would probably not use imprints until you get 2-3 expensive crucible passives on your bow though.
I have just been putting bows into crucible and dumping them into a 50c tab, if I get messages for it check to see what mod is good and if I need it, if not just sell it.
My friend spent 40 divines crafting his. Has two 20% attribute nodes with, attack speed and triple elemental damage. Spent days listening to him complain about passives getting removed.

So, I'm having an issue with being limited on how quickly I can attack. I attack three times for every volley, so I'm assuming it's because of cooldown reduction. The thing is, you only have like 32%~ on the pob you posted that I'm following.
You counted only boots and belt i guess, but bow need to have crucible tree passive with 25% cooldown reduction. And yeah, just check 14:27 for every source of reduction written down.

@@totallynottrademarked5279 its not worth to hold items, if you get a rare drop very early in league sell it if you're not going to use it, and use the money to build up. Also, inflation, 4 divines are worth way more day 1-2 in league than 14 divines are worth now.

how did you craft that bow? those damage numbers are higher for each element than deafening essences give.
Did you take into account its crucible passives? It has 15% increased magnitude of explicit (elemental damage) modifiers and the first node also adds a bunch of flat.

Great build :D I'll be trying it with Death Rush in one ring slot, while having clarity in second unset ring and watchers eye that gives lacking "reduced cost of non-channeling skills while affected by clarity". With Adranaline from Death Rush it could be even better mapper :D
Wonder if it’s MF viable? Losing 2 ring slots for MF or losing 2 rings for reduction of mana makes it no t viable?

You get the focus skill as long as you have any mod that mentions it, he has double damage when focussed on his bow so it automatically gets added to his skills

I assume it's a lab enchant, might have a possibility to drop from a specific league mechanic but I'm not sure which.

Is it a necessity to have uniques such as the amulet or is it playable without them until you buildup enough currency to buy?
The amulet is not 100% a must but for makes a lot of difference.
I ran this on a budget with hyrris amulet, also tried yoke. You want omni in the end, but you have to change to attribute gear, which can be cumbersome.

from my testing, galvanic needs to hit a wall or a lot of proj speed to hit the offscreen cap to return.
ensnaring arrow acts like EA, the debuff is only inflicted when the projectile is destroyed.
if you're still looking for a decent skill to replace something, what about elemental hit?

@@tether23 it does only get added damage if it picks the corresponding element, yes. however, it would not surpise me if it would perform better in this build than galvanic does, simply because it functions better with cascade, while also having an aoe component for clearing packs as well as huge base damage.
@@fkaliases nah fam, if you wanna do something smart add Lightning Arrow + Overcharged support, some guy in the comment said he's consistently getting 50% shocks even on big bosses with this setup

i dumped caustic arrow for split arrow due to how insanely laggy and cluttery the skill is, i reduced my lagg a ton and felt no changes in clear
Don't you want exactly 1 pierce for vengeant cascade to work? If you have two pierce, the sequence of projectiles is not followed and you do not hit twice with cascade.
Are you sure about that? I think with my 4 pierce on my LA build the VC still hit the single target always a second time when arrow returns, but actually what you say makes sense, maybe we need to test this.
