I've cycled this path a few times before, never knew it was an old railway line. Very interesting.

veel sterkte nog met het verlies van je moeder ... alle goeds gewenst voor jou en je familie

In my place there are also many Dutch-era railroads, especially many built during the reign of Queen Wilhelmina which were destroyed during World War II and are now used as footpaths.

@@rutgerb You are right, friendly greetings from me, before my country was called the Dutch East Indies and the last queen was Wilhelmina and now it has changed to the Republic of Indonesia

Beautiful ride and it must be wonderful when the trees are full in June & July. 'Reminds a little of the trails we ride here in B.C. (Western Canada, when it's not raining).

Funny to see a video of a route I take on a regular base to and from work. It is in a desperate need of widening and a new smooth layer of asphalt.

"an earlier version of this video was accidentally public for a few days late March 2023." That'll explain it.
    Watched it anyway.

What are those short dark post-looking things sticking up to the left of the trail??

I suppose you talking about the the tree stumps at around the 06:15 timestamp? At least they look like them, though they could easily be the remnants of wooden poles.

No, they keep recurring along the path. They almost look like fenceposts that are broken off, except they're too far apart.
They're darker in color than the trees.

@@b_uppy They are little wooden post, I guess to mark off the edge of the path (assuming you are mean the ones like which are clearly visible around the 6:40 mark, multiple of them).
Not sure why they are placed next to this path, but I've seen them a lot next to the path in the Loonse & Drunense Duinen, and there they are mostly on the edge of the path to separate the cycling path from the wider dirt path, that is mostly used for horseback riders.
It kind of looks like there's also a bit of a dirt path going on next to the cycling part around 6:40 as well, so could be that that is also intended for horseback riders.
