Thank you 😊! I really enjoyed the Spanish school and I definitely think it was very much needed to improve on my language journey. There’s only so much you can teach yourself or just doing conversational classes online. With the school I was able to learn and understand the grammar side a lot better. Everyone is different but for me in person classes are probably the best way to learn
With all that being said I will be continuing my online classes for now. It still helps with my conversation practice. But if I have time for more opportunities to go to Spanish school again I will definitely be taking it
I am visiting Colombia for a quick trip, and am just thinking of taking beginner lessons for 1 week. Would you recommend Total Spanish? I hope to meet some people there too, so that I can checkout the city after class with them. Is that what people do? Thank you :)
I would 100% recommend going to Total Spanish for a week of Spanish lessons! I actually did a review of my experience there, I'll link the video for you in the caption below! There are optional activities that you can do outside of the Spanish classes with Total Spanish which was a great way for me to meet a lot more people! I did dance classes, language exchanges, museum tours, and more! Hope this helps 😊
You're going to have an amazing time! I went to Total Spanish School in Poblado totalspanishcolombia.com/ I thought this school was great and I learned a lot in one month! They offer group and private clases and they are located in a very safe area. Extra information is on their website, hope that helps! 😊
I also take 1 on 1 Spanish classes online and I use preply.com on that website you get to choose your tutor and everyones offers different rates. I've been using it for 2 years now and I love it!
Thanks for all the suggestions and info! I’ll check them out :) I’m planning to start in Laureles for my first couple of months but Envigado is on the list for a more permanent location. Have a decent base of Spanish (my Colombian friends say it’s really good) but I want to be much better before going. Thanks again!
You’re going to have such an amazing time! I stayed in Laureles for the month and I think that is a perfect spot mixed with locals and tourists. Envigado is also a very nice area. Keep up the Spanish practice I’m sure you’re going to do great! 😊
I did group classes! It made me feel better with my level of Spanish with being with other people. And they place you into a level so you’re all around the same! There’s also private lessons offered too if you would want to go with that instead. Hope that helps! 😊
It's funny they call it Gringo Tuesdays, but def continue on your Spanish journey, and make sure to know how to use the word chévere if you haven't already lol
@@Destinationzrecap I’m so sorry I actually leave today to head back home! A good place to meet people are in hostels, language exchanges, and Facebook groups! I hope that helps 😊
What a fun week! And you still managed to find time to study - good for you!
Trying to have a good balance but definitely have been having a lot of fun here 😊
Good on you, I'm also a Spanish teacher myself and I send my best vibes to you in the long journey ❤
Thank you so much I appreciate it! 😊
Omg we have the same name! When I saw your thumbnail I was automatically eager to watch this video, then I saw your name… likeeeee YESS
Oh no way! I’ve never met someone with the same name as me! Hope you enjoyed the video 😊
Appreciate you sharing your wisdom! What was your take on the Spanish school? Did you find it better to learn in person vs via online?
