Thanks very much. I am currently preparing a research plan for postdoc application. Your video definitely helps me to understand what to put in the research plan.
Very useful. I'm a project manager / analyst by trade. I'm now doing a PhD part time. My brain want to use project management and systematic approaches to the design of my PhD so I have been trying to consider how I can use project approaches in my work. I don't think there is enough emphasis and training on envisioning the PhD as a project. It's a massive project and I'm sure the lack of project management is why is so daunting.
Thanks for writing; I think this is a very good point. Of course, it is not 'just' a rather large project but also a profound learning experience and one of personal growth.
Very informative, thank you! I was wondering if you have a specific video or tips for writing a summary research plan for academic positions (e.g. tenure track assistant professor). Regards
Thanks! Here, we don't have research plans for master's degrees; so, this is not possible. I also can't do that for other degrees, since this is other people's work.
This is like a summary version of a full research plan: you would have to condense everything so that it fits within this word limit. It's painful, but possible. I would advise writing a more elaborate/ complete version and then really condensing it down to this number of words from that version. It will very likely be better than trying to write a 300 word version from the beginning. I have done this a few times, and I'm convinced this is true....good luck!
Thank you so much for breaking this concept down, really very helpful for me as I'm drafting my very first research plan. Good luck to me.
Thanks for writing; I am glad to hear that!

🙂
Very good explanation, thank you
I wish there was an example as well to better understand for those who are doing it for the first time.
Thanks!

Thanks! No, I don't have a video on this specifically. But I will put it on my list of potential topics.
Thank you for the video!

Can you upload a research plan sample for an application to master degree?

Hi, How can I write a research plan with a word limit of less than 300?.

@@mrillig Can I share a summary of my research plan with you?
