In this video you will see the application of the Power Rake in several different driveway renovations, lawn installations, and even a golf cart path renovation.
Whether you’re dealing with clay, soil or gravel compaction, the Power Rake makes finish grading and renovation work easy. Revitalization of other surface materials like mulch on playgrounds is also possible with the Power Rake attachment.
The Power Rake is just that, a powerful raking attachment that uses carbide tips to pulverize and refine the soil. Its compact design allows the operator to work in tight quarters and around corners and edges.
In any yard installation, the goal is to break the soil down to pea-or-marble-sized particles, which will serve as a welcome mat for grass seed. It’s important to avoid any peaks and valleys in your new lawn, that’s where the Power Rake comes in handy by leveling the ground and filling in low spots.

I love the way the Ventrac eats thru the gravel or ground.... It is instant gratification!
This machine is great. If I make a suggestion. Having a splash guard over the second set of tires would keep the pedal area cleaner/safer. Less chance of your feet slipping when applying the pedals.
Great video Ventrac, with my landscaping business I can make extra money doing people's gravel driveways with this attachment!

What range are most people charging for gravel driveway renovations with this power rake?
Has Ventrac ever considered designing a small 3 point hitch ripper attachment to compliment to tiller and power rake ? It would seem a few small shanks mounted on the rear would be great for breaking up hard packed ground prior to using the power rake or tiller !

@@ventrac Already LOVE our Ventrac 4500Z. Looking forward to learning how to utilize our latest attachment, the Power Rake! I figure it's like the other attachments; read the manual, start off slow to figure things out, then become proficient. It happens rather quickly. Excellent tools!
I have a new 4500 with dual wheels and a power rake. I have yet to try it but I can't help but feel it would level much better without the dual wheels. The rake being narrower than the wheels, as it cuts the rear of the machine tends to follow the uncut profile. Am I wrong?
The power rake does work better with single wheels, yes. It's a minor difference but we would recommend using duals only on sloping terrain or when working in softer dirt applications where floatation is beneficial.

Hey AL: They're replaceable carbide teeth like you'd find on a similar power rake on a skid steer, etc. They're quite tough - and fully serviceable if you do wear them out or lose one.
