    So how many tires removed?

    • @ventrac
      @ventrac  4 ปีที่แล้ว +32

      We didn't count exactly but our best guess is around 80 tires, plus a few tire pieces, some random metal garbage, etc.

    Should be more people like you and the ones that volunteered in the world. You probably lost count of how many tires were pulled from the river. Now is the time to work with your Judge friend and make a ordinance and stiff fines for those who are found to throw trash in the river or else where. It is a shame the disrespect that has found its way into society. Our a great guy!!

    That Makes me MAD AS HELL! I've devoted a Whole Day staking out rivers around where I live and caught 6 scumbags like that trying to dump their Junk( tires , Refigerators) and vido tape them doing it and call the Police and they would be waiting for them and actually?> ARRESSTED them , put them in Handcuffs and in the back seat of their Squads( SUV';s) and take them into Jail with $ 500 Fines! Now you can mount a remote Wireless Camera and monitor it.. we raised $ to Donate 20 Camera's to monitor 5 different Rivers now.. set your rivers up doing the same.. Ours was raoised thru our VFW/AL hall by a bunch of Veterans! Donation of the US Army!

    I love seeing people come together for a common cause that is good but what if there were a much more direct human impact with the same amount of effort and organization? There are human beings starving and broken all over this same community (s) and removing a tire from a river, all be it good, does nothing to impact the community for the foreseeable future. What if these same people with the same amount of manpower and equipment, freed a shut-in from a yard that's overgrown their existence? I'm not trying to be negative but the impact to effort ratio on this type of outreach does not calculate well when there are so many more important outreaches that have a direct and immediate human impact. Love on the river but the river didn't put the tires there and will not multiply the love from there. Love on the people around the river with the same amount of resources and with Jesus Christ as the message behind the mission and see this same group and their efforts explode.
    I walk what I talk so I'd love to show this group how to make more of an immediate human impact if they'd be interested.
