    Hi mate cheers for the vid. If I'm using 98 fuel exclusively is the throttle body clean really necessary?

      @WLD62  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Absolutely. Pull your intake off and wipe a clean rag around in there, worth doing.

    Transmission on the Patrol has been around for many years and Penrite have a fluid that is a perfect match for the Nissan spec. I have been using it for years with absolutely no problems. Also the price Nissan charge for their Transfer Case Lube is and absolute Rip-Off, RAVENOL Transfer Fluid TF-0870 is specified by them for the ATX90A transfer case. less than half the price of Nissan fluid. Brake fluid can also be checked for conductivity (moisture content) with a multi meter, as colour is not always a good indicator.

    I'll be doing my valves and intake next weekend plus greasing my uni joints since I was unaware I had grease nipples and the valves could gum up over time.

    Hi, nice video well detailed information. I wanted to ask with the grease, is a high temp lithium bearing grease ok to use like Kincrome?

    • @WLD62
      @WLD62  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks mate, not every lithium grease is capable of handling bearing lubrication, so it's best to get a heavy-duty high-pressure grease designed for the job. But if your type of Lithium grease is, then you certainly can!

    Hey mate, what's the oil grade for the front and rear diff?

    • @WLD62
      @WLD62  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      From the workshop manual it says: Rear Diff 75W-90. Front Diff 80W-90

    Hi mate! Thanks for the video :) regarding 12:28 i had mi oil replaced and i noticed it's a bit overfilled... bit more than yours. Exactly to the beginning of the bending. Is it normal? Nissan did the maintenance. Thanks in advance

      Did you measure this hot or cold? Make sure you wipe down your dipstick then put it back it, then take it out, then you'll get an accurate reading. Make sure the car is cold before doing this. If its only a little bit over filled, its okay, its not normal, it so be bang on, overfilling the engine with oil can lead to big issues.

      @@WLD62 Thank you very much for the reply. the “mark” of oil reaches just where the knuckle of the dipstick begins. I think I'll take it to Nissan. Thanks for your time and have a great one!

    Hey mate how did you end up using the decarb spray? Did you do it through the throttle body or the vacuum lines on either side?

    • @WLD62
      @WLD62  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah through the throttle body mate, will do a video on it and bring it out this week to explain the process, did expect a question on it haha.

    Any thoughts on sand driving beach driving protections

    • @WLD62
      @WLD62  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you must go through salt water, go as slow as reasonably possible to ensure you don't blast salt all over the car.
      Sand will get everywhere, remove bash plates etc when you go to clean the car to ensure there is no sand left.
      Drop tyre pressures to suit the conditions, easier on the car and ensures you wont get bogged.
      Use your manual mode and 4H, if the sand is seriously soft, go into 4L. Again it's a lot kinder on the car.
      Wash the car as soon as you get home to make sure you get fresh water on it as quick as you can.
      If its really windy or you are in convoy give yourself some space and take it easy, sand can spray up and get into everywhere, snorkel, engine bay, coolers etc...
