WOW, just WOW! You are moving wildly fast. Your Math Major must have done the trick. I took 9 months to remake our dream of our Airstream, 31’. Your use of the shop was a plus. All of the tools and the working at night had the shop to yourself. You are amazing. Thought for you. Cheap way to hide all of those seams on your white wood of the cabinets and wherever two pieces meet so there is an obvious crack showing is to get a little tube of paintable caulk and will those cracks with that and touch up with paint. You won't even be able to see the cracks or seams and everything will look nice and clean :) Thanks again, guys, for sharing this journey with us again and look forward to you selling your bus and getting on the road!

Water leaks. I started using Flair-It fitting years ago and have had excellent results with them. I carry a selection with me in my fifth wheel as a lot of places don’t carry them. That roof rack is great. I could come up with several ideas for a rack system to mount the solar panels BUT not having to drill holes is way better. Thanks for the card trick for fitting the drawer fronts. 👍
This is really impressive. I can tell your Skoolie experience really helped in the design and build of this van conversion. My only suggestion, if it's not too late, would be for the faux front panel in front of the sink. That would be a perfect place for a shallow hidden storage compartment. It would be perfect for wallets/money, etc. (and personal protection). You could use a magnetic latch that releases when you push on it.
You two work so well together. And I agree with you on the black hinges. With the black hardware it all looks so nice. Love the card trick. Going to remember that one.

I'm buying a box truck to build out I've decided finally. I have 2 enclosed trailers, a 14' & 16', I was going to build one of those out. What made me decide on going the box truck route was how square the box is vs a van. I am planning on taking one of my trailers so I've decided to make the back part of the trailer my man cave/living room. I will be keeping pretty much all my food in it, and now maybe my cloths as well. I plan on traveling for about a year and then go to my property in the desert and start building my dream. When I do if i'm still around and you two are I have 100 acres, open invite to just pick a spot and crash out for a day or few.

Little tip for anyone building their own wood cabinets. After you assemble them and before you sand and paint them, get yourself a small can of auto body filler(bondo) and go around and smooth over all the cracks and joints then sand. It will give you that smooth finished after painted.
Hope you used blue loctite on those nuts, or alternatively locnuts. Also, the panels you put in the doors to cover the insulation look deep enough that you could mount a pair of shallow-mount speakers. Looks great!

I am so amazed at how fast this has come along!! It looks awesome!! I have been going back and forth on getting a roof rack. Still haven’t decided on that yet lol
Here is a little trick to blend in the cabinet door corners, you see the small gap on each door? Use latex caulking, run a bead, smooth it out, let it cure, touch up with paint. I used to do that for a quick repair. It's not the correct way but it works. The correct way would be use a hole filler or wood filler product. I do like the caulking more, over time and especially it being in a van the caulking will stretch and more as where a filler can just start to crumble apart and when that happen the paint will start to peel.

Bondo actually makes a 2-part wood filler made for the job.

Looks cozy, yes the black hinge looks good because of your black handles. You can get black leather straps for drawer pulls.
