These are the highest quality “throwaways” I’ve seen since Kendrick dropped Untitled Unmastered. Tyler is a beast. His song writing is great, and his production is freaking amazing.
depends on what amazing means. hes basically amazing at beeing himself. but he so good at it that he is unable to hide it. so hes not what i would call a jack of all trades when it gets to producing....the things he does sound like him and no other. so no wonder justin bieber and other people dont want songs from tyler like earfquake or such. but regardless.....these are hq b side songs, by far not on the level of the kendrick untitled unmastered....but pretty damn solid

Listening to this made me realize how much Tyler has matured throughout the years especially on SORRY NOT SORRY. He was bold enough to realize and apologize to his family and friends that his work has gotten in the way of not being able to spend time with his loved ones, but at the same time not really feeling all that bad for where he is at right now. Tyler has evolved into this humble adult just living his life and hopefully will enter and take on a new era with us.

I always roll my eyes when artists dropped B sides/deluxe albums but Tyler has changed how I feel about them completely. The songs could have been their own album but they add depth to it. Sorry Not Sorry is the true closer of the project

Yea usually I don’t care for deluxe editions as well but this was really a treat. Most artist throwaways are just that but this all could’ve easily been a part of main album and keep the vibes going. As a long time fan it all really shows how much he’s progressed especially with the music video’s corresponding to each song and the ever connecting story that’s weaved in for those who are familiar

I think most of these bonus songs are actually better than the tracks on the original album, especially HEAVEN TO ME, but obviously there's that thinking of "well they don't really fit anywhere" so I'm glad he decided to release them because think of how many amazing tracks out there just get left behind

I get that they’re meant to be leftovers, but it really feels like an EP that bookends the CMIYGL era with perspective and evolution that can only come with making some of the songs after the album’s success. It feels like a perfect set up for whatever he does next. I wish more deluxe editions were like this one.

Personally, I do not believe "Sorry Not Sorry" is actually a leftover from the CMIYGL sessions. The self-reflection in the lyrics feels like it has to come after the most recent album cycle, and it's just too polished and too conceptually focused to be just a random track that didn't make it. Also, the 2 year delay since the album was released doesn't really make sense from a marketing standpoint if these songs had already been recorded - for reference, Kendrick released Untitled Unmastered only a year after TPAB, and that was a far more complete stand-alone project than The Estate Sale. I would guess that Sorry Not Sorry was recorded much more recently, but Tyler felt it wouldn't fit with his next project, and so he decided to package it with some other leftovers as a conclusion to this era of his catalogue.
"HEAVEN TO ME" uses a slowed down version of the instrumental from the 2006 John Legend Song "Heaven", which Kanye produced, just to avoid people's confusion. i'm sure Tyler got Kanye's approval, but Kanye didn't just recently create this beat for Tyler.

In my personal opinion sorry not sorry was the best song out of the CMIYGL era. I was honestly shocked he left that off the album initially, but maybe he knew the video would have more impact between eras!

Amazing album, the songs are pretty much a perfect sequence to the original album. I loved the experience and personally think Tyler is one of the most unique and creative artists those days.

The fact that these almost just remained unreleased throwaways is crazy
I loved this project. There's a lot of vulnerability here, and cleverness, with great beats. There's a line where he says "white kids say I brag too much, black kids say it's inspiring, duality is tiring, my girl would kill me if she knew the things I was desiring, suppressing it, get it out the way, I put the sirens in" really hit me hard with the feels and the deep reflection

What a Day is very chill and laid back, but introspective. Giving it the vibe Wolf had on tracks like Lone, Slater, Bimer, and to some extent Answer
Warf Talk just sounds like a mix of different production, half-hazardly thrown together in a similar function to Cherry Bomb
Dogtooth is very uplfiiting but mellow, similar to most of Tyler's rapping on Flower Boy.
Heaven to me has a sample that sounds like it would fit well with Igor's alignment
Boyfriend, Girlfriend by process of elimination and order of the track arrangement has to be CMIFGL
I wouldn't believe that theory outright, if not for the video for Sorry not sorry. Since it has all 6 of Tyler's sruido albums present (keeping in mind there are exactly 6 new songs added), and is thematically killing off those eras for good, we can assume that each song also ties into this concept. These kinda of concepts where Tyler has an ideal with the tracklisting for some of his albums, isn't new by any means.
