This Music reminds on a warm autumn day in October. I don't know why🙈
Good lord, this was one hell of a performance. I bought this album when it came out in high school, and honestly, I didn't like this song very much. I, of course, was just a snotty unaware kid who didn't know anything about music. So, years later, I joined a cover band, and we did this song. I began to appreciate the song more. But I also noticed something else--the album track was just ho-hum, and Sheryl's vocal performance was. . .strained. But then I heard the live in NYC version and it sounded like Sheryl had not only thousands of hours of road experience, but also some pro vocal coaching. Fast forward to 2020. So, now, she has not only an amazingly open upper register, but a little country yodel to boot (also present in the near-perfect 2000 version to be fair). That was almost 20 years ago. And now, I hear her with these amazing musicians in 2020, and WOW. The song's lyrics come to life, and Sheryl just makes this song her own (which it it is). From that vintage Gibson to her perfect vocal, this song is now truly a signature piece. Thanks for sharing this bit of art. It doesn't get better than this.

Tasty player , cant say enough about his riffs and licks . Wore out a few guitars learning his tunes. Killer player .. And Peter , wow .. All these guys are amazing musicians .. Rock on People.. ;)

I just love this artist.
When this cool tune came out, I had just heard it on the radio. I went to the cd store and must have played it at least 100 times that weekend. True story is that my company went for drinks after work on a Tuesday night. I recall telling my coworkers what an awesome album it was, so we ended up at a bar called Shooters, in the flats in Cleveland. They had an outside stage overlooking the river, so who in the heck do you think was promoting their brand new album. It was a slow night for the bar, but sure enough Sheryl Crow walks out and starts singing this tune. Nobody else knew of her yet, but I was in love at first sight. She introduced the band and they did a great set, as I was one of the few who knew talent when I saw it and heard it. I ended up talking to her, but she had a huge bodyguard at all times. She was so cool and down to earth, so I told her that I knew that she was on her way to the big time. I so wanted to ask for a peck on the cheek, but I chickened out. At any rate, she was, and is, an awesome talent and a heckuva nice person...

This has always been my favorite song of yours and every time I hear it again, I remember why. Such a treat that it was performed for us. Also, the band and the sound quality is great, which is the cherry on top! I liked the ending how all of the musician squares disappear and the only one left is you at the end. That was a nice touch.

I remember when this song was played on an "alternative rock" station (WDRE) on Long Island. Right before "All I wanna Do" made Sheryl a huge pop star. I saw her do a little private concert at the Neptune Beach Club. Can't remember if it was in Hampton Bays or East Quogue, NY.
