  • The Inner Richmond is sometimes referred to as San Francisco's hidden Chinatown. Here you can find many asian markets, restaurants, and shops. Every Sunday is a lively farmer's market that sells all kinds of delicious foods.

So, when did Asians populate inner Richmond? I grew up in SFO and know every part of the city. Please try and put street signs in your videos.

Asians invest on property and lived in the same roof while at the same time owning several properties for rental..I know Asians including my family who at least owned 2 to 3 more properties and abroad. Majority of real state in San Francisco are owned by mostly Chinese.

Well I left SFO to join the Army in 1961. I can honestly say that back then the Asian population was more or less confined to Post St (Japantown) and Chinatown with a few here and there. Around the time Hong Kong was reverting back to the Mainland, Chinese with money started migrating to Canada and the Bay Area. In SF, they were buying up property like crazy. It was a sellers market then. Thats when the Asian population expanded not only in the Bay Area, but also Vancouver Canada. I was stationed at the Presidio and Fort Mason during my career and even managed to get assigned to Oakland Army Base and Fort Ord. All which had me real close to friends and family. Now I ive near Kansas City after living in Washington State for several years. I'm now approaching 80. I always say SF is the only city in the world I cannot get lost in. Keep up the good work and be sure to include some street signs so I'll know where I am.

Hi Stafford - for every video I make I include Google Maps links in the description that can help you know where the walks start and end plus any highlighted areas along the way. Hope those help.
