This is not recycling, it means wasting world resources. There are still a lot of parts to be used in those cars.

Fascinating! Are the salvaged vehicle parts sold to automotive repair shops? Those Audi headlights are quite valuable, for example.

I'm assuming these are defective cars? They sure as hell don't look that old.

Feels like there's still a lot of components on that car being crushed that could be saved, IE lights, body panels that are commonly damaged that could be reused... Great idea but seems like it needs more.

Some could be pre-production vehicles (no VIN) test vehicles and press cars in which all have to be destroyed . They’re not allowed to be sold or have parts used for regular production vehicles.

It would certainly be more efficient if they give me one of those cars instead of recycling :)

To me this all seems very wastefull. I doubt very much whether these cars are at the end of their useful life. If so, they still contain a wealth of spares. To me it looks more a method by Audi to ensure there will be a very limited number of secondhand spares. Not very sustainable!

Some people don't have car at all, or they have some old junk, why they don't give them good car for exchange. This is so weird here, like they stole these vehicles and they need to get rid of them asap.

achieved the memorable 444.444 km with my 2004 Peugeot 307 this week, and when I see this, it is not to see such modern cars that can last another 10 years. ( other cars in my collection ar the Volvo amazon 1970 and 1963)🙂

They should wait in front of factory new cars so they will be able to destroy them. CARS in this video could be driven for 20 years more. This is without any sense

All those vehicles look like they're from the mid 2000s why are they recycling them. I'm driving a 2004 Toyota with 300k miles, I would love to have a newer suv like the ones in this video.

At the end of the movie I thought they were directly going to recycle the car again 🤦. What a waste of resources has been displayed here; so much room for improvement...

Circular use of materials is becoming more and more viable in the car industry...since the raw source material is more difficult and expensive to acquire. The life cycle of a car both in terms of technology and payment terms of actual use...is a revolution happening now. Hopefully the 'design cycle' catches up with this trend and we may see a more innovative approach to the valuing of the concept in all products.

Most if not all of these vehicles will be Prototypes or Pre-Production , They cannot be sold Privately or be retailed for legal reasons. So they must be recycled for Parts. The vehicles as themselves are very worthless ....Sadly !

Satisfying to see brand new cars being dismantled. Make them undone, as they shouldn’t exist at all, until the last car perishes.
