Morning Dylan, Great Video!! I'm glad you leaned into not trying to match the colours of the timbers. The varied tones look intentional, and go well with the other colours/finishes in that room. Thanks for creating the video - i appreciate watching it.
What a beautiful table, and so nice to see that gorgeous hardwood getting a chance to shine. (I also always look forward to seeing your adorable shop dog in these videos too 😉). Amazing work yet again, thanks for sharing
Hey Dylan, another great project and entertaining video. I admire how you dealt with the heavy Australian hardwood, credit to you. Take care and keep up the woodwork. James - One Handed Maker
I’d love to learn more about your workshop and how you’ve built up your tool collection - what aspects you value in your tool selection and what you’ve learned about what you look for in a workshop
My tool collection started with hand tools, and a few drills and small power tools. I got a table saw when I moved into this space and then just gradually got tools over time, a lot through marketplace. Most things I bought when I needed them, so I don't really have any tool that doesn't get regular use. And in terms of workshops, I don't really have enough experience to know what I value, more space would be great, it's hard to remain organised in my current setup and things end up all over the place. My outfeed table is my work table and that often gets quite annoying!
You know that bowties cut cross the grain are not structurally stable, right? When you do them they should be cut with the grain, as that's the most stable part.
BEAUTIFUL TABLE NOTHING LIKE QUALITY RECLAMED WOOD
Thanks, I agree, it certainly has plenty of character!
Your design and execution really honors that noble material. One for the ages. Good going, sir!
Thanks!
Great video mate. Hell of a story telling. Well done
Thanks mate😊

Thanks, it's a bit fruity but I reckon it looks pretty cool
Beautiful table. Love that you broke out the handplane for some of the build. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more of your work.
Thanks!
Mate, the table is really lovely, great job. I'm in the UK, what the hell was that little green creature?😂
Haha thanks, look I don't know but I assume it's highly venomous
Nice work and a beautiful end result.

Thanks James, it's thankless timber but scrubs up alright in the end!

Otherwise, very nice work 😉
@@lukada83 thanks. I pointed out this mistake in the video. Seems to still be fine a year later surprisingly
