Hey Dylan. Another great design and video. Your woodworking improves with every build and your video presence is outstanding. Can't wait to see the new workshop. Regards James One Handed Maker
Another fabulous video. The transformation of the timber with that hard wax oil is stunning!! Good luck with the move, moving a workshop is certainly not fun. Can’t wait to see the new workspace and would love to see more steambending and of course more of your doggy haha! (Ps love your idea of what constitutes a dum dum… the jigs and triangle markings are all very clever!)
The design has a beautiful harmony, easy to like. I noticed that some of the pieces have different color tones. Is it the nature of this type of wood or do you not have a sufficient amount of the same color?
Thanks! I was going to comment on this but decided not to. Ideally it would all be similar, I couldn't quite tell in the timber yard how different it was, and yes, unfortunately I didn't have quite enough to have it all match perfectly. But in the end I didn't actually mind the different tones, and it matched in places where it needed to and the client liked them which was the main thing!
@@dylanbarfieldfurniture Personally, I found the slight difference in color added more uniqueness to the chairs. I believe that the client will enjoy them for many years.
Of course... cause even your bandsaw is telling ya to swap the blade (or buy a new bandsaw as Im guessing it's old and as such a total PIA to change blades.... swapping blades on my Laguna is easy-peasy). Im gonna sub to help ya with that :) I appreciate the amount of time needed to make videos for TH-cam. You make beautiful stuff, your chairs are EXACTLY the style Im looking for -cant stand the chairs made by FourEyes, and spending just a little more time to walk us through the process would be much appreciated by wannabe woodworkers like myself.
@@sunalwaysshinesonTVs thanks for the sub! My bandsaw is actually fine, it's just a few minutes to swap over which breaks the flow state! Good luck making your own chairs, it's not that difficult if you have the right tools.
You obviously have made your way of doing things work well for you, but the height of your table saw blade and the upper guide of your band saw give me anxiety.
Beautiful design, as always!
Thank you!
