- This video is a tour our 1951 Spartanette trailer on Tomales Bay in West Marin California. I purchased this trailer mostly restored from someone outside Atlanta who has restored several. We had it hauled out to California and built a deck around it. It is now part of Fisherman's Camp, a waterfront property we rent out that includes 2 Spartanette trailers and a cottage.

Omg.best.one yet ever seen love the couch kitchen is roomy like apartment size,bath then bed room.but the living room is the best very homey and really like the little room deviser and a door bell to cute i could an would live in it for my home

Wonderful salvage and restoration! This camper is so big it's hard to imagine that in circa 1951, a vehicle had the capacity to pull it.
Vehicles of that time period could pull them, but you were not getting there in a hurry. Mostly two-lane roads, so 45 mph was hauling! The biggest issue was keeping water and brake temperatures down as much as possible and planning ahead.

There's an outdoor shower right off the deck! It wasn't finished when I made that video.
What# all that cleaning yard work sound in the background for?
It's waves, water sounds I added to the video as the trailers are right on the beach and generally you hear the water, but I guess it's not effective it's it sounds like yard work. 🤣
can't you waterproof the shower area?
I'm sure you could, but there's a shower right off the deck and it's nicer than showering the tiny tiny bath and having soggy toilet paper!

The trailer is beautiful but I had to the video on mute because the music was so dreary.
Where do you take a shower at?
If you had to you could shower inside, but since there is a shower right off the deck we use that. The less chance of water getting anywhere it shouldn't inside the trailer the better!
