Beautifully played. I did notice that he plays a 1st string 12th fret and open strings in the first section. My book has a bar 8,3rd string 9 fret and then the 1 12. A slightly harder version and sounds a bit different.

Great performance, and a beautiful sound but I am surprised at how little presents the open six string E has. It is barely audible at times. I think that is what Segovia most disliked about Hauser guitars originally, before the famous 1936 guitar was built for him by this luthier’s father

I have to share your opinion. Mr. Madariaga has selected a piece which guitarists who have been around have heard, and been asked to play, way too many times. Since he is a magnificent player, he does play it magnificently. It is not a bad piece: but it could be forgotten for a few decades.
