What worries me is that along with this NOW being used only in emergency situations, the NEXT STEP will be government saying THEY will demand they be able to control the vehicle. I agree this could be a good thing, but there MUST BE restrictions against ANY ENTITY from EVER being able to control a person’s vehicle or other property. We are witnesses to the dangers of overreach by various institutions in so many ways. Words and their meanings are being twisted in order to make a law or a right FIT someone’s desired outcome, so I think it’s only reasonable to suggest there be an extra precaution written into law regarding what may or may not be done by our government or others. There also MUST BE SAFETY RESTRICTIONS regarding potential hacking of the computer in the vehicles provided with this system! I shudder at the THOUGHT - and FEAR the ACTUAL ACTION - of someone driving along not knowing their car might suddenly stop on the highway because their car’s computer was hacked. That is one potential very deadly possibility in today’s world! Look around, look at how home computers and cell phones are getting “attacked” all the time! You definitely do NOT want to risk it happening on our roads! I understand some may say my mind is working overtime, but unless someone considers ALL possibilities the public will not be well served. Just thinking! J
