    So many really useful tips, I totally agree with the tip about taking time out. Sometimes when it's super busy you feel like you are having to "shuffle" with the crowds, constantly changing direction around people which can make everyone a bit stressed and tetchy so taking yourselves away for a while helps you to go again later 😃

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      It really does - sometimes a quick trip back to the hotel/pool to refresh can help and sometimes just sitting and watching the world go by with some snacks is enough to recharge your Disney batteries! 🏰✨

    Thank you for these tips. We have discovered that our trip includes a French national holiday, so we’re expecting crazy busy. Taking time out at our hotel, to shop etc will definitely be on the agenda.

      I think if you go into it expecting it to be very busy then you can only be pleasantly surprised if it’s not as hectic as you’d imagined too 😉 time out at the hotel, a rest for tired feet and some cheeky shopping always help 🌸✨

    Adding on to the fast pass- keep track of your fast pass time! Let's say your fast pass gives you entry from 11:30-12:00- that means that at 11:30 you can get another fast pass, which will maximize your time. We did this on our last trip and it helped. The Star Tours machine actually gave us a fast pass a few minutes before we were technicaly supposed to get one- we decided to test it about 5 minutes early and it worked. We were pleasantly surprised!

      Nice! Love that tip! ✨ You can hold one for Studios and one for the main park at the same time too I think?

      So pleased you enjoyed the video! ✨ On our first trip I put quite a lot of pressure on myself to enjoy every moment, but if you don’t let yourself pause/rest/take it all in you might find yourself getting overtired - so pacing yourself is definitely a plan! 😃

      I was a bit apprehensive too, but honestly it’s ok - just make sure you are in range and online at the right time (maybe set an alarm for a few mins before?) Helps to have a couple of people with phones booking too if you are there as a group and want to see different characters as only one reservation per phone until after your timeslot I believe - will do the video for before you go 😉 so pleased you enjoyed the video ✨

    I Love your Videos 😍 We are going to Disneyland Paris in August and I can‘t wait 😍 We have prebooked the PhotoPass+ and I have heard that they have a PhotoPass Point in front of the castle. Do you know of that is true or of there are Photographers around occationally?

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Kerstin 😃 ah how exciting! They do sometimes have a PhotoPass photographer there in high season, for special events and on Saturdays but it’s not guaranteed as far as I know. However a really good place to take castle photos is actually to the left of the castle as you look at it, as there is a little circular space where you can take photos in front of the castle without getting people in the background 😉✨ We have asked cast members/other guests to take pics on our phones and it’s a great spot!

    If you want to meet characters get there early before they actually meet! For example, Peter en Wendy are very popular and a lot of people already queue before. This might be a tip if you want to meet them! Also then you are the first to meet them and don't have to wait very long in the line itself!

    These videos are so helpful, so glad I found your channel!! I’m off to Disneyland in September to celebrate my 21st birthday, have you ever been for a birthday or celebration if so how did you make the most of it?☺️🥳 xx

    • @elinethys3880
      @elinethys3880 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      You should definitely get a birthday button from city hall! All the CM will wish you a happy birthday! Also, get the button very early cause they can run out quickly! Meet characters is also fun cause maybe they will sing happy birthday for you !

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ah Chelsea what a special way to celebrate your birthday! I haven’t done this yet, but never say never 😉 As Eline has suggested I’d definitely pick up a Birthday badge and if you wanted some custom ears made you could get ones made saying it’s your 21st and maybe a sash? I got a sparkly sash from eBay for my friend for her hen do and it was beautiful ✨ Also maybe think about booking a character meal if within your budget, after all it’s not everyday you turn 21 😉 Maybe you could take something special for characters to sign? Hobbycraft (and other places) do white paper mache numbers, you could get a 2 and a 1 and take lots of colourful sharpies for the characters to sign with? Just a few ideas 😃✨

    I'm going in August, but my son is entitled to a green pass, so was just wondering, where is the special area, reserved for pass holders during the parades? And do you still need to get there early? 🤔

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Disney Princess 😃 I believe there are two areas for green pass holders, the first is by the start of the parade (next to It’s a Small World by the parade gates) and the second is by the castle stage - both will be roped off with CMs checking passes, but I believe the areas can get quite busy so I would allow plenty of time just in case.
      Here are a couple of links which might be useful, the first is the link to the access guide on the DLP website and the second is to a really helpful and friendly group on Facebook which might be useful if you need a bit more detail:

    I am curious about the "Go Left" thing - it's definitely true - but I have a theory, is it because people drive on the right in the States and in Europe? People are so subconsciously used to being on the right. So is it actually true of Brits, where we're used to being on the left not the right? I've noticed I subconsciously drift to the left already (but then I'm always contrary!)
    One thing that's not so much a tip as a warning - it seems obvious to think "Well, it'll be packed at easter, I'll go in February, it'll be so quiet there'll be no waits!" but... in slow season there's rides down for maintenance, rides down for bad weather, and because they're expecting low capacity there's shorter opening hours, some restaurants are closed, there's fewer cast members in shops... while there's less crowds, there's also less capacity for the people that ARE there. So the wait times can still be really long, but with shorter park hours and some attractions unavailable. It's really swings and roundabouts, and a good dose of luck whether you happen to catch a quiet day. I mean.... a Saturday afternoon in August is going to be the worst. But apart from that, it's not as vast a difference on average as you'd imagine, or hope!

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hmm it is an interesting one, I hadn’t thought of which side of the road you drive on being a factor but you may well be right (and my husband agrees!) I thought maybe it was to do with the fact that a lot of people are right handed and so maybe that contributes? I will definitely be more conscious of this next time I’m at DLP (and UK theme parks) but so far it has worked....curiouser and curiouser! ✨

    • @jennifermichaeli5739
      @jennifermichaeli5739 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I always thought it had more to do with the left/right hand thing- I'm left handed so I tend to go to the left more naturally, but I'm from the US, where we do drive on the right (although I don't drive anyway...). Not sure!

    • @CaffeinePixieDust
      @CaffeinePixieDust  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I find this so curious, I think we need to investigate this further by visiting lots of Disney parks and feeding back to get a definitive answer, anyone else up for this selfless challenge? 😉✨
