- This is my awesome Mr Potato Head Collection! This is an update to a video I made 3.5 years ago. The collection has grown quite a bit. Feel free to send me your comments, questions and concerns that a grown man is collecting a kid's toy! :D

I used to have Mr Potato Head, Cookie the Cucumber, Katie the Carrot and Pete the Pepper. I never had Mrs Potato Head - I loved them! I miss them. I'm thinking I may try and collect the 1960s versions again ... thank you for the content.

I'm impressed! You have lots of Potato Heads. A few years ago a few of my friends started giving me Potato Heads as gifts, but I don't have any of the really old ones. I have about 8-10 now - all in my office at work. They are fun!
Not entirely, the box is different, but the 1995 version has more parts, such as a wig, a bowtie, lips, orange toes and orange ears. The hat has no rod in it, and the mustache and eyebrows can be placed in without taking off the nose or the eyes.
Fantastic collection. I collect various toys and a few Mr. Potato Heads. He would be my favorite classic toy. Im 49 and saw the one in your collection from when I was a boy. Thanks for the walk down memory lane.

Im glad you enjoyed the collection. The badge was custom made by a boy scout group I think in New Jersey. There are only a handfull of them out there. The ride on toy is not as rare, but is hard to come by, I have seen them sell anywhere from $50 - $300 on eBay depending on how complete they are. Both my kids love it though. I let me wife know that you liked the crocheted Potato Head, she spent a good amount of time working on it! Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments about Mr P
I don’t have a big Mr potato head collection but I do have an 80s one with Bendy arms And I’m getting a 1970s one and I also have a lot more
Nice collection!! Great memories! Does anyone remember the one from the 60's and the head was white styrophoam? It would get holes all in it and the attachments would start to fall out! lol

I'm afraid the collection isn't much different than what is in the video. Collecting really took a back seat the older I got.

2. Mr potato head stickers they can go for $10 - $30 CAD
3. the Mr potato head show VHS tapes they can go for $30 - $50 CAD
4. the 1980s Fisher Price Mr potato head that can go for $40+ CAD
Nice Mr. Potato Head collection! Maybe I've told you in your other Potato Head collection video, but when my doctor worked at Easter Seals, he had a bunch of Mr. Potato Heads in all sorts of disguises/costumes, like he had Darth Tater (Darth Vader) for instance. For Christmas in 2010, I gave him a Toy Story 3 Mr. Potato Head. He asked me if the Toy Story 3 Mr. Potato Head had "angry eyes", and I said no. For Christmas this past year (belatedly), I gave him a Frylo Ren (Kylo Ren) Mr. Potato Head, along with a few miniature Transformers Mr. Potato Heads.

I believe I got it at Kmart when they were first released. They were only released for a short time and they are no longer available. They are pretty hard to find now, even on eBay. It's to bad, I would love to get one for my kids, they love to play with mine!

Oh my goodness, your wife's crochet potato head is AMAZING! Any chance she might have a pattern for him (and/or a Mrs. Potaoto head), so I can attempt to make one too? I only remember the very basics of crochet, but it would be so cool to make something like this!

@@TheToyHoarder No pattern, just kind of winged it. The chair was bought from another collector that was selling their collection some years ago.
@@jurney85 That's amazing! So talented! :) Also, nice find. Can you fit in it, or is it a kid's chair? Sometimes I wish I was just a little smaller so I could fit into some epic kids chairs and clothing made haha.
@@TheToyHoarder Technically I COULD fit in it, although the chair might not survive the experience. I imagine I would look rather ridiculous in it as I am rather tall. My two kids have sat in it though and it works great for them.

Thanks for watching! Im glad you enjoyed it. I don't have the official Toy Story Potato Head, although there was a release when Toy Story 3 came out that used the same pieces as the 1995 version that I own. The only difference is the box that they came in.

No its a styrofoam ball that I painted brown. Lasts a bit longer and wont stink!
