    was the video shot in 10 fps? Dropping a dislike, can't encourage lazy production quality. The substance is also not up to the par. The channel doesn't deserve 50k subs.

      I don't care about the subs but I find it ironic that this channel reviews audio products yet their audio sounds like they recorded it with a potato. Hella compressed and low quality (sounds like it's in a box instead of open). That may be because it was streamed, but damn. The quality of the video and audio is subpar although the content makes up for it. I've seen that his later videos are a bit better but not by a substantial amount.

    Your all over the place buddy. Gritty treble but also the clarity is outstanding and well detailed you say. Other than the flip flopping multiple times, great review. And I appreciate you taking the time to make these videos, I really do. So thank you for that.
    Personally I love the 560S. I own the Sennheiser 650 and a couple other headphones in that price range and the 560S takes the cake overall. Don’t get me wrong I like the 650 but they are a little lacking in vocal clarity and the base response and sub base is mediocre at best.
    One thing is for certain. Not a single pair of headphones will do everything perfectly but, the 560S are as close to doing everything very well that you are going to get. Even at double the price point of the 560. You can’t go wrong with the 560S if you like to hear music as it was intended. The only music I have listened to that I would consider listening to with the HD650 are the tracks that are not mixed well at all. And even then, I always go back to my 560S.
    The fact that the 560S are more comfortable and also lighter are a great bonus. With that said I notice a lot of reviewers will say the build quality is not as good as the 6XX because of the plastic feeling light but if you look at what the current production 6XX build quality is in 2024 you will easily take notice that the 560S has superior build quality.
    It would be like saying that because Glocks are plastic and lightweight, they are not made well. Even though they are literally the most loved handgun in the world and known for there flawless function, unbelievable durability and precision and accuracy.

      What style of music do you make ? I'm wondering if this 560s will be reproduce well the low frequencies (sub, rumble....) because I do dark techno with lot of lows, sub, rumble... I have read that with an EQ, the 560s can produce very good sub, is it true ? Thanks.

      @Ex_Machina. 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@-zoave- I've done hip hop and house with these and I'm still using them today! I haven't tried to EQ so I cannot answer that. If I were you (as in making techno) I'd get these for reference only because they trade in 'oomph' for clarity. This is great for me because I can listen to the texture and details of the bass before dialing things in but after that I switch to a closed pair of headphones or speakers to test how it sounds with a less flat sound profile. I hope this makes sense I'm tired today :)

    I find that even though a lot of Sennheiser headphones do not have a lot of bass. I don't find it a problem "giving" them bass. Just EQ them with +4-6 Db on the lower end and the bass kicks in pretty good and also clean without distortion. I have my PC38X on right now and I can put on a bass heavy song and it thumps pretty darn hard, because I have a bass emphasis EQ on them.
    In fact I would say it's at times better to have a flatter, linear headphone because it allows you to tune it. But a V-shaped bass-can is harder to "correct".
    Personally I am always looking for a wider soundstage and good imaging and slight forward leaning. The reason why is because I use headphones all the time and I watch movies with headphones.
    Also playing games. For the movies it's good to have some "forward" characteristics so the sound seems like it comes from the screen and not the sides. The wider soundstage opens up the listening as well. Do not want "close in" sound like you do with music when watching movies. Same thing with playing games. wide soundstage and great imaging is king on gaming.
    Also for pure immersion having surround sound (good virtual surround with good amp) because the ambiance in an open world rpg hearing birds and sounds in the distance, full 360 seamless sound without that horrible "stereo" cutting sound from left to right with zero panning. Nope for me always surround and wide soundstage.
    But I digress.

      Sorry, I did accidentally leave that for the Q&A portion, which isn't in the VOD. I prefer the tonality of the 560S, it's cleaner, more neutral, crisper -- but "better"? Ok grabbed me a pair and love them!
    The soundstage which I keep hearing is amazing, I would rate it 8/10 as a beginner. Not quit as insane as I expected, although maybe it's a sound source issue? Cause in some videos and music the soundstage is huge whereas in most, and even the games I currently play, it's just "nice".
    I fell in love with its "personality" in terms of sound though, so I probably wouldn't swap them for anything with a wider soundstage anyway, if there is such a thing in this or an adjacent price range. (Tried the AKG K712 first cause I heard its soundstage is unmatched, but instead of close to far distance like the HD 560s it sounded more like medium to far distance with not the best detail either.)
    However, I can't approve of the build quality. It might need some DYI fixing of cracking noises. But that's why it's so inexpensive for the sound quality, so it's fine.

    There is cheaper alternative of bright/neutral headphone that does treble very good and that is Beyerdynamic DT880 250 ohm. It would be interesting comparison between the two especially when paired with warmer dacs like ifi hip DAC or CAN amp.
    At this price of 560S I'm not convinced they have anything better to offer than DT880.

      I talked a bit about the comparison in the Q&A portion. IMO, they're different flavors, but both about on par with each other IMO. X2 also has some treble issues. Tonality is quite different, though, X2 is bassier with less pronounced vocals, but still strong definition and imaging. 560S is an "upgrade" if you're looking for a more neutral tonality and stronger bass definition.

    • @Hirnlego999
      @Hirnlego999 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@SuperReview Well, this isn't really that hard. Any product claiming to be neutral should of course not empathize any particular part of the sound. And of course not cut down certain frequencies.
      With a hifi setup this is generally very hard to do with the lower regions as most speakers simply cannot do 20hz bas.
      If you record an album in a studio and play it up with a stereo that is as close to the original as possible the same goal then should be there for headphones.
      Of course all products add distortion, this is unavoidable especially with moving parts but here too it should be kept at an minimum..
      560s fails to neutral, it ads its own sound into every recording, and once you notice this it becomes hard to ignore.
      Certain voices for instance sound brighter with these headphones and that's simply not OK.

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's more complicated than that. 560 voices "sound brighter" -- vs. what? If you're looking for an objective measure of neutral, I suggest reading into "diffuse field" and "Harman target" and I don't think you'll be satisfied. People that do this stuff professionally do not all agree on what is "neutral," but there are some common targets -- and this 560S hits them. If your personal interpretation of "neutral" is something warmer than 560S, (a) that's perfectly reasonable and your prerogative, but (b) prepare to interpret external "objective" measures of "neutral" with a personal filter.

      @@SuperReview Thanks for replying. Fair enough :) Shame really because you are missing out on a whole 'nother world. I understand what you are saying. Until you experience something what can you say? Im not going to write an essay trying to convince you otherwise but if you can't hear the difference between say a cd track and the equivalent DSD recording then Im not sure how you are actually listening or if your listening equipment is capable enough to show you? Quality is not always an easy thing to quantify. I used to work in the wine trade - took me a few years to understand and appreciate the qualities of well made wines versus ordinary table wines. One perhaps uncommon experience of [actual] Hi Res..lets say DSD if how the mind hears it, how the mind absorbs effortlessly into it and how this differs from lower res. I work with audio for a living so Ive been listening and experiencing audio for many years now. This is one of the most fascinating aspects of audio I have discovered. Its there for those who want to discover it but if you just want to listen to the radio for example and listen to and sing along to songs then why not? :) All good. Im quite happy with some pasta and a tin of tuna but Ive eaten at Michelin starred restaurants - Point being the quality is out there to be discovered if that's your bag

      @@SuperReview You can know your own mind and experience. :) Unfortunately most people who decide something is 'not' something. especially based on having zero experience of it do not want to take the time to find out for themselves. Rather just demand other people prove it for them...whilst continuously telling them they are wrong. Funny old world - Quality is not always a simple black and white. even though at times differences can be subtle, In that subtlety can be found something special

      What do you dislike about it?
      When I was getting into this hobby, I definitely preferred single-sided 'cause it's a cleaner look and less tangly for my arms, etc. But now I dislike the imbalance in weight / pull from single-sided and prefer double-sided, which I would not have predicted a couple years ago.
