4/4: am i a joke to you?
I miss goint to see DT live. Mangini was the main reason to go.
your a monster one of the best drummers in the world and your a gentleman
Esse é um dos poucos bateristas contemporâneos de hard rock e heavy metal que admiro.
Ele é muito influenciado pelo Neil ne ? Tem que ser foda...
This guy plays faster with one hand than I can with two. Incredible.
If only playing fast translated into being good.
@@juliosanchez95hatin ass
He’s doing things with one hand than drummers using 2 cannot. A true phenomenom.
Just came here after watching the auditions from 2011. Didn't really get a chance to see what Mike Mangini is capable of in those videos.
Damn.
Mike and Mike 👍👍 good drummer
Sometimes I don't think the crowd really understand how complicated "some" of this is. Lol
Disagree. Couldn’t give you a percentage but there’s tons of people night in and out that go see DT play and they themselves are HUGE music nerds/musicians. They know exactly how hard this is to play.
@@dustinbryant9586 still means there's a percentage of people that don't. But I get you.
@@masonchristiano There are two sections of this solo that I have been working on and I've been working on it for five days now, and I still can't get it down. I'm almost there at least but it makes me hate how people dislike Mangini as a drummer
@@masonchristiano respectfully, who cares. If they enjoying they are just enjoying the solo (which they most definitely are) than it doesn’t matter that some don’t understand how technical some of the stickings and polyrhythms he’s playing are. But I guess thats just how I feel as a drummer
@@natefreedman2972 I'm a drummer as well. Maybe that's why I feel that way haha. That's awesome man. Self taught? Or did you take lessons? :) Not that neither matter to me drumming is drumming :)
He’s probably the most skilled all around drummer there is and this isn’t even one of his best solos.
Could you recommend some better ones for me please?
If you're talking skill you have to have Thomas Lang in the convo....
@@dwarfshortages8265 check out nate smith
@@Matt-zt4qk Lang is a definite monster as well for sure.
@@Matt-zt4qk 😆he smoked Lang on the auditions remember ?
Love Portnoy. Mangini is something else though. He brought so much fun to the band.
Привет Автор ролика! Просто монстр) я такой игры на барабанах не слышал! Спасибо большое!
Wow you are the most perfect thing I have seen in the world, you are a professional in levels, you are just amazing, really fun to see you play and control everything amazing !!!!
And I'm here playing drums for 5-6 years and I'm still worse than Lars Ulrich
edit: I wasn't being serious. Lars is a good drummer.
Really? Man it isn't hard to beat lars nowadays. I've been drumming 3 years and I'd say I'm better than him in most aspects, although he can still do way faster double bass when he wants to.
@@punishmentthroughtime2904 no you are not.
@@punishmentthroughtime2904 ...and the fact jou have to tell people on you tube...kind of says it all...
Karsten Bier Why are people so obsessed with Lars?
@@T0mat0_S0up Let's just say Lars is a pretty good drummer/audio engineer. He created a drum sound what was always unique up until Metallica started recording Metal like every other band (heavy compression). But their earlier albums had always a unique sound, always original. But Lars has a couple of bad drumming habits and since he's been playing since 1982 he's obviously lost his peak just like Buddy Rich did in the late 70's. But since he has been an ass in the music industry (Napster and piracy) people have exaggerated his bad drumming habits and his not that good personality.
I love how he tells the crowd that his ostinato is in 5 hahahha
The funniest part is that you know most of them probably knew what was going on
He was just checking does his drums work correctly
Imagine how free your mind has to be to be playing drums for dream theater. No thinking of breaking ups , or other problems in your life , BUT put feelings and problems aside, or it’s easy to lose the thread of where your up too in that particular part of the song. Wow. You go Mike. Met you a few times , and your a nice act. 💪🏻👍🏻
That was amazing. Good luck, Mike.
