      There are a few components to earn money with your camera. One plan I found which succeeds in merging these is the Hartlyn Photo Pro (google it if you're interested) it's the most helpful plan that I have ever seen. look at all the great information .

    Thank you so much Dovey. Individual Shots 5-59 seconds long, No cuts or multiple angles in each, Keep shots around 30 seconds, Trim clips to the useable bits, Upload multiple angles as separate shots, Vary your shots from one location or concept, Remove all audio from shots, Shoots in 1080p or higher, Try to shoot 4K as much as possible, Shoot slow motion, Timelapse or Real Time, Avoid noise in your shots, Color grade shoots so they "pop", Look for trending topics, Shoot footage with people in it

    Hi Jeven. Thank you for the info you provide! Selling footage is all new to me. As you have more experience and a professional approach: I am struggling to decide whether to send my high fps footage as slow motion or not. For example: send a 50p slowed down half speed as a 25p slow motion. After some reflection, I opted to send the original high framrate footage instead and allow the buyer to decide if he or she wants to slow down or not. A slow motion however looks better in the preview and might attract more buyers. Do you have some insight on peoples preferences? This only applies to footage where slow motion makes sense of course. Like a flower swaying in the breeze, waves, bees etc

    One critical question about selling stock footage. Which fps has more potential of selling in stock market?

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  5 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I suggest 30fps or 60fps. You can conform it to 24 fps if you need to but you can't conform 24fps to 30fps.

    Hi Jevan - thanks for the video. It’s really helpful. Apologies if someone has already asked this or if I missed it somewhere - but can I get your opinion on framerates. I’m in a 25fps Market so most of my back catalog will be 25fps. But if I go out to shoot specifically for stock - is it more valuable/profitable to shoot in 24fps? Or does it matter. The US is a big market - but so is Europe? Any guidance would be appreciated. And thanks again.

      I wouldnt bother getting into stock photography unless you have a ton of content ready to sell. The prices are so low on photos. Video however is still super high and theres a huge demand for it. Your 4k clips can sell anywhere from $100-$200 a shot. Its crazy.

    1. Drone (Mavik Air); 2. iPhone + Moment accessories; 3. Camera (Sony a6500). I can spend around $1000.

    • @JevenDovey
      @JevenDovey  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      All depends on what type of stock you're going to shoot. A camera that shoots 4k would be your best bet. Theres more opportunity to shoot stock with the a6500 rather than a drone. Drone will get you some awesome footage but your limited to only selling aerial shots. Just get a bunch of footage up and then you'll make enough to buy both ;)

    I have heard of BlackBox before, but I did not really thought much about it. Seeing your video now though makes me want to get more into it. It is true that even when I do a coverage of a car, there is still plenty of standard shots from the surrounding that could be used by other people and which is not used in the actual video.
    I might consider getting into it.
    Thank you!

    But if a tricky question: If I produce footage with a software and not by filming with a camera, can my footage still be sold? I bought a license for that software that gives me the rights use the footage commercially, so there shouldn’t be a problem.

    Interesting. One thing I wonder looking at lots of stock footage. Why don't makers leave the footage flat? I'd much rather have s-log footage un graded so I can fit it into my edits and match footage easier.
