If you are looking for a ride along/driving video of this fox check out this video by LamboDEB which covers that well: th-cam.com/video/wuO98wb0wZw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=pPY_bwu5ceysQ0l3. My video is more focused on the owner of the Fox and his story. PS - To my loyal subscribers, I know i've been gone a while, and it's due mainly to life and job changes, but I'm going to make an effort to get back to this hobby as well. I may need more time, but hopefully this upload is the start of something more consistent. Either way, thank you all for your continued support and I can assure you that this is not the end of GearHead704.

Nice to see a video again! I absolutely LOVE that car! I've been following him on IG for quite a while now. I'd love to see that car in person. I'm not building my own car to that level, but have gained some inspiration from that car.
Absolutely I would have to paint it black or a very dark gray with some black stripes or some lil addition to make it pop. I just have never liked red. Almost everyone does the red thing. I like a sleeper, not sticky outy too much burnout machine. This car is absolutely a work of art 🎨 and I bet a blast to drive.
Super next level fox. I also had an ‘87 as my first car (well skip the hand me down ‘81 4 cyl coupe I had for a hot minute). Like we all say… should have never sold it! Mine was an LX T-top. Did HCI, full exhaust, gears and Vortech. Great memories with buddies back then. Even cruised the Ford World Challenge from Ontario down to Bowling Green with it back in ‘99 IIRC.
Miss with my LX 5.0 🦊. My first car when I turned 16 and had it through high school. I touched every nut and bolt on that car. Moved away for a job after HS and my pops had to it out as he was low on funds. (Don’t blame him as he helped a lot with the build). In 1997 with my dad’s helped we flipped the stock headers around facing the front of the car and fabbed in twin T3 turbos with a powerstroke diesel FMIC. GT40 heads, 42 lb injectors, trick flow upper and lower intake, Tremec TKO trans, aluminum drive shaft, auburn pro 3.55 diff, welded torque boxes, home made subframe connectors and lots of suspension upgrades. Nothing could touch that car in my small home town in Hamilton, OH. On the hunt for another one to build
@@GearHead704 Back then there was only a handful of people turbocharging their 5.0’s. Vortec S-Trims was the go to power adder. We had no lap tops back then. Used only 02 readings prayed timing was safe. Had to use our ears and seat of our pants to tune it. First drive down the road it popped and banged very bad when boost came in. Kept retarding timing little by little and it slowly got better. Will never forget when she lit off for the first time. Nothing could touch that car. It ate every T/A and Camaro. Looking back now I am just happy I didn’t fold it up. Had a lot of close calls. The front end aero was atrocious. Made a high speed pull late on night on the freeway and had no idea how fast I was going but was winding out 5th gear and what felt like 150 plus the front end caught air and lifted. Steering inputs left the chat. Thankful she stayed semi straight but definitely crossed a few lanes before I regained control.
Boyz, the memories I had back in my 5.0 GT 5 speed with straight pipes back to cherry 🍒 bombs. She was a tad rowdy, and I loved it. I eventually swapped over to Flowmaster exhaust like just about everyone else did. Even though I loved my cha cha cha cherry bombs that Flowmaster was so smooth and gurgly wurgly, ohh, I loved that damn thing. I bought it off a friend who bought it new. He beat the dog 💩 out of it. I got a hella deal on it with an extree set of low-profile Pirrellies and some alunium deep dish rims. I slowly got it fixed up, working my butt off roofing during the day and scrap metal recycling at night. I finally got it where I wanted it and painted it. Safire Black, which is black, but it has a subtle tint of Purple you could just barely see in the sun. After about 5 yrs of owning it this young fella down the road that I took for a ride now and then because he loved the car got his license and mommy and daddy made me an offer I could not refuse. I had about 17k in the car at the time, and they came and offered me 22,000 for it, plus I got this badass lil odyssey. The thing had a 1,000 Ninja motor on it bored to 1,100 and that thing scaaa aa reamed. I only got to 6th gear one or two times in it. You get up 150-60-70 on one of those a bee could wipe your @$$ out, lmao. I was happy just using 1-5. Thank you. I honestly think if I had it to do over again knowing what I know now, I would have kept it. Oh, and youngin was drag racing one night up over a hill, and El Caro went El Flyo. He hit some trees and a house, and that was the end of that. I cried the day he told me I wanted to rear neked choke him out to snoozville 🫳🏾😴🖕🏼.. Oh well 🤷 that's life FORD POWAHHH...😂
Great to see a new video from you Matt and I'm such a badass build I've been watching this car for a long time on social media and it is amazing! Good to see you post a new video to I hope you're back sooner than later!

Thanks Puzzlefox, it was nice to post again! It's amazing to see in person. I'll never build anything to that level myself, but great to see.
That car is gorgeous probably the best built fox I've seen

Oh that's amazing!
Welcome back Matt!!! Great vid!
Thanks Sean!
My first mustang was a 1986. Bought it in 1996. I was 18 still have it at 46.

Tim thanks so much for showing up for my return! I really appreciate you man and will pass the messag on.
Those fox gauges are awesome! That's the only way I would display that dash
How was it done?
I love them too! I'm guessing it's a setting on the instrument cluster maybe that's part of the system?
It’s a download that someone created but I need to know whom it was and where to pay for it!
Ok you can try asking the owner. He's on instagram @merchantsvt

Yo, How can I miss this? Big ups on posting another video. Hope all is well with you and your family.
One of my foxes had that cowl dent for the same reason lol. I'm not sure there was ever a fox with an aftermarket hood that didn't fly up haha.
You might be right! lol
Matt!!! Where you been buddy? Was worried… looking forward to seeing you guys at MW and Foxtoberfest!

Very cool, I' glad we got to meet.
Beautiful car..Great video sir..
It sure is! And thnanks.
Imo that's the hottest fox out there! So glad it's a gt hatch, I'm so sick of everyone building and being obsessed with notchbacks.
I agree it's nice to see a hatch build for a change. I'm still partial to verts lol
He is still alive!!
LOL barley but yea ;-)
@GearHead704 glad to hear. I see Bj Adams in the background with his SSC. DOUBLE FEATURE!! LOL
Elizabeth is the big one!!
Hey MIke!
Bad Ass
💯
I would definitely move the turbos back under the hood
A few people have commented that now.
@@GearHead704for sure man do it,beautiful car though
That's going to crash into a crowd of people so fast.
That's the narrative on Mustangs for sure, but I know Jonathan is an excellent drive.
How did he get the Holley dash to display the factory look
No idea, but that is the most popular question in the comments.
Where can I get that Holley dash download?
No idea, but that is the most popular question in the comments.
The turbo placement is coolrunning with no filters, not smart...smh
Seems to work well for him.
It's funny every Ford owner knows you basically have to go to the modular engine to make north of 700 hp
Tell me you have no clue without telling me 😂
I think it's an easier path, but you can do it with pushrod as well. Modular typically gives you better driveability.
Hoods not centered, has a swapped engine , swapped lugs, swapped interior. 60% Fox left. Cool toy tho.
Very cool toy!
