    Like other people said, I think the script lacks depth and personality. Personally, I think that in order to get the most out of Lana's music and to really submerge ourselves in her art, we shouldn't be looking for critiques of societal norms or societal narratives (except for the Lust for Life era maybe). Like Lana has already said in multiple interviews, her music isn't supposed to be a mirror of anything other than her own life, her own experiences. I think it's enough to delve into her world, without expecting to spot any messages or metaphors or any thought-provoking themes. Her incredible storytelling does that for you, if you let it, it carries you gently into her world, where nothing is right nor wrong. It's the only thing that's really hers. We are so lucky to be able to have a look inside, even through the small peephole that is her music.

    • @Vanorah7
      @Vanorah7 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

      Finally! I appreciate the approach to highlight the masterpiece of Lanas music but it was completely from a wrong perspective. Her music is her journal, listen to what she actually is singing about rather than analysing every word

    I liked the video but please consider highlighting her thoughts about fame (you can check dark but just a game, white dress, wild at heart). Also you can talk about her family relations, death, mental health problems, wanting a child and these reflecting to her songs. Especially in her last album she mentioned these topics very well (fingertips, kintsugi, the grants etc.). Overall I would really like you to talk about her deepers thoughts about herself, the society and media as well. Plus how underrated she is and why could it be like that. I know technically is somewhat not related to the video since this is a LDR video but I love her Lizzy Grant/Lana Del Ray phase. Lizzy Grant is a more raw, emotional, perfectly imperfect, relatable Lana Del Rey. Probably (maybe idk) LDR doesn't like her Lizzy Grant phase that much musically speaking but without Lizzy there wouldn't be a Lana, probably.
    Back to LDR, I love she just sings what she wants, any story she wants to tell. Why can men sing about toxic relationships, even loving an abusive, toxic woman but women cannot sing about that? Why can't women sing about being "problematic"/being in a toxic relationships that you know it's bad you are addicted to? Why do women in music have to be either happy, strong, independent woman or a woman that makes no mistakes when it comes to men and just runs away when there's a red flag?
    Not saying toxic relationships or making bad decisions is good, I just love she just sings about then unapologetically, like "I am a storyteller, this is my story".
    PS: Yeah I won't finish this video wtf is this AI content ._.

    A very good comment about Lana del Rey's Art. She is really an artist (!) and not only a common pop singer. In her opinion the USA are delusional and also decadent and this feeling is present in almost all her songs. She refuses postmodern pop trash music, remembering us how good and harmonic the sound of the past was.. Drugs and booze seem to be the only "values" of this sad and utterly materialistic times.

    The truth is hidden in your title, she uses psychology to sell her lyrics and records regardless of who it may hurt, she knows that teens & young people will be attracted to this type of music and the dark reasons for putting it out is to get even with her mother and influence her siblings.

  • @bluebanisters2889
    @bluebanisters2889 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    This video is extremely repetitious. How many times can you say “darker aspects of the human psyche”? You make a lot of claims with very, very little evidence. Your choice of lyrics is poor, and you could have attended to her videos, her discussions in interviews, and a whole host of other songs. Analyses without evidence are empty.

    As a psychic i can assure you, she is so much more than just a amazing singer, she is a very special Soul and she knows about, spiritually she is very aware and awaken, her light is extremly bright, but also blogget unfortunately, but thats the ego thing in Hollywood i guess, that doesnt allow you toning down your ego as much as possiboe in 3D, but she will get to that point and tha we will not hear anything anymore rrom her, and thats good like that, beautiful Soul......

  • @selimlmr5403
    @selimlmr5403 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +9

    I think there are many examples in Lanas discography that can be referred as ‘windows into ones soul’ but that line from blue jeans? ‘Love you more than those bitches before’ - that has to be satire.

    I know how to connect with Lana and the music is deep, meaningful and worthwhile. It's very refreshing to have Lana Del Rey and I going through mental illness and she get me (and others) with that and/or similar afflictions.

    Always loved her music, but for such an emotionally intelligent and sensitive person as she is, it's VERY disturbing who she supports politicaly and how she supports slaughtering the innocent Palestinians after they've beed discriminized by apartheid for 75 years. She could just stay neutral to politics. Many artists do. So the question is, what is going on with her mental health lately.
