Excelente video. Gracias a tu video, yo logre solucionar el mismo problema con mi ALTEA. Ahora bien, yo observe que el boton de abrir y cerrar las puertas trabajaba bien pero en poco uso se volvió a dañar, yo volvi a desarmar el mecanismo y en esta segunda oportunidad coloque un pequeño pedazo de goma/silicón debajo del boton para que ejerciera mayor presión a la pieza electrica. Ahora mi dedo al tocar el botón, con al goma que coloque quedo perfecto el mecanismo. Cuando deja de funcionar es posible que la pieza eléctrica necesite una mayor presión y esto lo conseguí colocándole esa pequeña goma / silicon entre estas dos piezas.
Limpia también los contactos con alcohol 100% si lo tienes a mano. Coge un bastoncillo de algodón, sumérgelo en el alcohol y límpialo. El caso es que, con el tiempo, por el uso y la antigüedad, la suciedad y la grasa de nuestras manos se quedan adheridas. También la condensación también

@@liamstirling1217 yeah that will last forever. Make sure you get it looked at by a tuner as a less restricted exhaust can lead to a turbo overboosting if you push it hard at times. Also, if you get it tuned and if it's a pd105, get upgraded rod bearings and head stoods. Those two things are Vital. The bottom end of pd105 1.9 tdi are their weakness

Hi Mate, Very useful thanks. I have a seat altea xl and when I pulled out sat nav plug in the dark the whole 12v socket pulled out and I can't push it back in. Just as suggestion your video was great but wish you had shown other bits of the centre console whilst you were sorting lock unlock switch. Things like how to unclip the connectors ie do you need to press a tab or just pull out and how all the switches mount in place? All the best with your plans.
Connectors I'm pretty sure I mentioned. The rest is EXTREMELY easy to take apart and put back together. Everything is EXTREMELY self explanatory, but if you still have a problem, contact me through my Instagram which is in the video description and I can message you through there. It is very very easy though, I doubt you will have any problems.

Thanks for your reply. I want to try to unplug the 12v socket at the hole to get it out of the way. Not much space. Then lift the panel and find out what the black plastic piece is that stops it going back in the hole and how it mounts properly after that. Cheers.
Just take the whole panel out the way I did. You'll be able to see everything that way

Exactly the same as mine. Only difference between an altea and altea xl is from the back wheels to the rear, its longer. Anything between the rear axle and the front is EXACTLY the same. Neat isn't it😊
Why did you put complete leon panel with that switch, which btw looks awful, instead just took out the switch from that leon panel and put it in your Altea panel? 🤔
They both look awful but they are identical. Also in the original one that I took out, the clips for the mirror control nob were clean broken off and the switch was glued to the panel, which immediately fell off when I took the panel out.

Nice video! Lock and unlock was partly working but i cleaned it up, well most of it, and works for now. Funny thing is that it has the same corrose as your two parts so maybe its faulty by manufacturer?
There is a contact that has electricity running through, that makes it lock and unlock and it wears down and carbons up. The can clean some carbon off and will temporarily make it work for a good while. I'm not selling this car ever since I've got plans for it so after a while, I'll probably replace them fully with new locks all around
@@iro-huncarguy8367 i also have the not unlocking issue by remote control on driver's door. I saw the video with the spray you injected but i think it wasnt on driver's door or am i wrong?
@@harrists6319 does it close, or does it do nothing? Cause that can indicate that the lock is dead. If you have a multimeter, check the wires if anything happens. If you get no signal from the wires, your comfort control module could be misfunctioning
@@iro-huncarguy8367 locks by remote but doesn't unlock. Also doesn't lock or unlock from main panel button which i cleaned. Also doesnt lock when i start driving like it should. Only driver's door. Locks and unlocks only by key
@@harrists6319 I did it all around. Sadly if it does that, it's probably beyond repair this way. You can buy that part I'm talking about, that's inside the lock but sadly, you're gonna have to live with it😔
Hey mate I have problem with my mirror knob and I want to change it do I need the whole panel or I can get botton knob seprated and replace it with another if yes pls can you help where I can find it my car seat altea xl thanks in advance .
Yeah the whole panel needs to come out. And then there are 2 or 3 tabs holding in the module itself. Very easy to do! Look at how I take the panel out and then just do what I did
