Beginner tips!:
1: Always crawl.
If you stood up and began walking Figure can hear you.
2: If Figure gets too close try going into a nearby closet, they will have a short minigame playing once entered. The mini game works by tapping left of the heart and right of the heart. If ur on pc click "E" for right and "Q" for left.
3: Put your volume up if you have trouble finding books, if you hear a sparkling sound a book is near you.

Me and my sister struggled with this so much, however, after hiding for like 10 minutes in a corner, being to scared to the last book, I finally got it! I figured out the code and went on the beat the rest of the game! Sadly I was playing solo
I am trying to get past this dude with my friends for over 5 days now hope I can beat him soon
Ok, here's a full walk through. You will enter the library and figure will come out. I don't think he comes to the door downstairs, so stay there at times that he is near you. After he walks away, you will look for bigger and brighter colored books. After you look everywhere downstairs, you should grab the paper. After that, you will have to wait until Figure is far away from the stairs. Once he is, run up the stairs. Most of the time Figure won't come near the lock so when he comes upstairs go to it. There are eight books so when you have all of them use the the shapes on the paper and follow the signs. There will be shapes on the paper, so you have to look at the shape that is the same on the side of your screen. It will have a number next to it. For example, the Square is 2 so 2 is the first number then keep going. And that's how you find the code. Ok, now for tips: I recommend saving vitamins so when Figure is close, you can dash away. (If you use the vitamins, it attracts it) Another tip is to try to avoid closets as much as you can unless you really need it. The reason I say this, is because most people aren't that good at the minigame that starts when Figure comes to the closet. You will have to click/press the hearts to put them together. This is much harder than it sounds. But there was a glitch that you can get out of the closet while he it there. I don't know if this is still working, or if they fixed it, so I don't recommend you trying it. If I find more tips and/or fun facts, I will add them. There are more places to hide up and downstairs. You can hide at the blocked staircase, the corner of the blocked area on the left side of the library downstairs. And upstairs, you can hide behind the couches, or the corner next to the lock. You can pretty much hide in any corer. I hope this was helpful, and thank you for reading.
Ayo, sense I forgot about this comment, I'll just add a few more things I found out recently.
Don't go in a closet once the door is open because Figure will get you before you even have a chance at the Minnie game. Also, always keep your volume up.

You should know that the door can only open ONCE, then it closes shut and then traps all the other players. If you are playing with several people, then make sure everyone is near the door. Another thing you should know is that if you put the code in incorrectly, then it makes a loud sound that attracts the figure. Before putting in the code make sure the figure is as FAR AS POSSIBLE.

I do the code all the time when Figure is by the lock. Sure, he gets very fast, but you can still get through the door faster than he can get to the door.

you have to find all 8 books and I do recommend getting the paper last as figure is faster and tracks your location whenever you hold it

quick note: sometimes it’s faster to get 7 books and guess the last number instead of getting all 8

Always double-check the code before putting it in. Sometimes you think you think you have the code but you accidentally swapped 2 digits.

And then if you walk into the monster you will get a achievement and it will say YOU DIED just click on the screen to skip then click REVIVE it says it costs 30 robux but it's actually just 15 robux to make it seem like it's too much robux just for no one to revive and beat the Game.Hope this helped!😊❤

When you learn figures walk cycle,safezones in library and how to do code also that figure walks only on red carpet (but also there are red carpet areas where figure cant) it becomes like easier than rush

By the way don't go for the paper first at least try to get as many as possible at the bottom area so you don't need to go back and go through the common route of figure.

And also,when you find all the books,Figure knows the exact location of every player,in closet or not.
realize something, without the guiding light, the game becomes impossible. because he shows the correct doors on seek, lights the doors and keys in the dark rooms, makes an sound when you nearby any book, lights the candle when any entity coming, its even banishes the monsters with the crucifix
I agree, but with some items like vitamins I think there’s a small chance it’s beatable :)
just some more tips
- you can freely walk around when figure is on the other floor
- he gets faster each book u get
- as of the modifiers update, if your walkspeed is greater than 16, figure will hear you even if your crouching
- interacting with the lock whilst figure is on the same floor as you could be end in death so avoid doing that instead wait for the figure to go downstairs and then interact with the lock
- if you come across an exploiter, let them do all the work whilst you stay in door 49 as most exploiters are nice and will help you
- dont camp in the closet the whole time whilst your teammate is doing all the work as they will most likely now hate you :))
- you can lure figure to that one teammate that you hate by walking freely nearby them and they will probably ragequit
- when you unlock the door, make sure everyone (but you can leave out that one teammate who goes ahead and doesnt do anything just make sure that they are halfway across the room when you open the door :)))
- if u hide in a closet when the door is unlocked and figure finds you… well good luck buddy

I hate doing door 50 in multiplayer because some of the players do not know that if you open the exit door Figure will automatically detect everyone. So it's almost impossible to do it in multiplayer.
