Im gonna make the large layout shown in the 7499 manual. Lol, thanks to your light tutorials, I have a use for my 3 pairs of lego LED's I bought. I was planning on only getting 1 for my 9398 but then I went FORGET IT and bought 3.

This was nice up until your blunder at the end. You didn't redo the train-running part because...?
I note a lack of steam locomotives here, you should look into getting some. I can recommend the 2002 LEGO Express from personal experience, or even just the separate-sale steam loco sets from 2002. Mind you, you'd have to cram a PF motor in the tender since they were designed to use the 9V motor bogie. I don't own it personally, but the Emerald Night is simply excellent and is also built with Power functions in mind. The similarly-good loco from the Constitution Train Chase set isn't, but ways have been found of fitting it.
Of course, that assumes your inept driving doesn't destroy your equipment and make you have to start over.

it's really cool but it's not a pain to drive all these powered batteries train ? should be better to convert all to 9v?
All my engines now have rechargeable OF batteries, 9V isn't suitable for the builds I do.

Thank you for putting the freight cars with the train that was included in the set it kills me when people mix it up ...
In real railways cargo gets shifted about to be pulled by different engines so having cargo pulled by different locomotives is inevitable. I do mix it up in some videos when I want the trains to be longer. Cargo is cargo when it comes down to it, don't let mixing it up ruin your enjoyment of the hobby.

Very neat! I have the blue cargo and white passenger train and the included cars as well as some I made custom. I was able to add lights to the passenger train but haven't figured out a good way for the cargo train! Any suggestions? Also do you use the lego lights or your a different kind? Very nice collection and I love the way you utilized the track!!!

+gingersooty Hi, the current trains are available from the LEGO shop on-line or any large toy store. The Yellow Cargo train and Red passenger train aren't made any more so are only available on eBay, Amazon or BrickLink, they will be a bit more expensive now than the original retail price.

Are all these the tracks that came with this ? Or have u used extra tracks ?
There was some extra track needed to do this layout but it wasn't much, only a few extra track sets and maybe a couple of switches.
