Their plan is to have Gunther crowned as the World Champion at Summerslam. Drew winning it here would mean he'll have to drop the title 2 months from now.
Only thing that annoys me about WWE right now is how come guys like Gable & Drew have to go through a whole other non title feud before they can win gold ? Why cant they be champions going into their next storyline ? It would be fine , especially for Drew & Punk 🤷🏽♂️
I loved the Punk ending. They don't want Drew to lose to Gunther at Summerslam, so this just gives the Punk/Drew feud more heat, and gives priest a little more time with the title to build himself a little more credibility. I thought that was a good match and built him some credibility with his performance tonight alone. Also as a punk fan that was among the pettiest things he's ever done and I loved it lol. This feud has been great to me, who is the biggest hater?
The main event was very predictable. I wouldve rather has Punk actually help him win with the Logic "I'm getting cleared, I wanna fight u, so why not make my comeback angle for the championship too." I never understood the logic of screwing someone out of the title in turn screwing yourself out of a title shot
i liked cm punk screwing drew mcintyre i liked the 1 quit match i liked the women's tag team match i thought chad gable should have won and i wouldn't mind if piper niven won it was a pretty good ple
