The most frustrating god damn thing is I’m a fan of AEW. I want to see them thrive and succeed but idk if that’s possible with Tony running things. Sorry but it’s true. Worst part is they have a stacked ass roster with great talent/characters. They risk their well being and health to entertain us and deserve to have full houses. We’re now five plus years into AEW and Tony Khan STILL DOESN’T FUCKING GET IT!!!!!! He’s still making the EXACT SAME FKN MISTAKES WHICH IS BEYOND INFURIATING TO ME AS A FAN. I swear I wanna toss my remote sometimes. He needs to bring in some very experienced head bookers. I mean Iiterally watched Bully Ray say he’d bury the hatchet with Tony come in and do it for free because he loves the biz so much. I mean 🤷🏼 WTF!!! Idk all I can do is pray Tony eventually gets it.

I watched the show with a group of people who never watch wrestling. They loved the show, and they absolutely hate Dom lol. Now they're ready to watch the fallout on Raw and Smackdown. That's what it's about building your audience

I agree with the Matt the crowd was abit hit and miss. They reacted big for certain things but not so much for other things but tbh that's pretty common for these US stadium shows.. the international shows they react to everything pretty big so it feels alot hotter so when then they go back to the states you see the difference because crowds tend to focus on stuff that's happening in the crowd at times and its wanders off. The show way definitely one of the events of the year in terms of how it went. people saying alot of the stuff was predictable and it was at times but predictable doesnt mean its bad because you just gotta give the fans what they expect sometimes and they did that with the Judgement day implosion and Reigns return and they were still great moments even if you saw it coming.

Roman Reigns return was weird for me.. his music was different

didn't watch, but definitely the youtube highlights. and man, being a pro wrestling fan for 35+ years, i thought the crowd went nuts for the right situation. this is the golden age of wrestling. Just re watch the wwe official highlights again. all the detail. the way Liv and Dom left to the back. the music, the acting. the rock is special for this business. you ain't seen nothin yet

I give Summer Slam an A. It was great from top to bottom 👏. My favorite match was Damian Priest vs Gunther.

The long winded entrance from Cody’s trailer, to walking his dog, to speaking with Arn, to getting dressed and finally to his entrance took the crowd out of the main event. Less is more. Just have the Arn Pep talk and go to entrance. PLE was 8 could have been 9.5 if the crowd was not taken out.

Do you think the way they set up the Punk and Drew match was to protect Punk from getting injured again? Felt like a lot of smoke and mirrors, but still enjoyed it.

About to start driving back to NC from the show.. VERY happy that Nia Jax won and got more of a reaction than Priest did.. Only issue i had was the Bloodline committed 2929 murders on Cody and Cody kicked out every time.. Cody is my guy, but it makes sense after Jacob Fatu hit his calf right on the edge of that table

I was there I thought we were pretty loud for most of the night bayley and nia jax was quiet until Tiffany came out the reason it seemed we we were distracted during priest and Gunther wasn’t because of a fight it was because we had a spot light blinding us for the first half of the match hints the chants “we can’t see shit”

I thought the pop was decent, but I also don’t think that LA Knight is over as people make him out to be. He’s OK in ring (everyone is good these days) and his promos are cool but not memorable at all. Just a look and catchphrases to lots of fans. He’s fun, but no one is truly yearning for him to be in the main event 🤷🏻‍♂️

For Liv Morgan to be this big star when you had Rhea Ripley and Becky Lynch out for most of the time is big so when those two women are back it’s gonna only help her and she’s improved as wrestler big time
