I don't care for the hate this film gets, it's still my favorite sequel in spite of it's many flaws. I really like Nita and Kenai as a ship because it works, this flashback not only prooves it but it strenghtens it as they reunite and start to develop feelings for each other. I like that in spite of it Kenai will never abandon Koda, he is adopted brother after all. but it was very sad when they ignored him when both he and Nita were bonding, that was very irresponsible. Kenai is so cute as a kid and I really like how his kindness and love as a child are present with his personality because it connects to the original Kenai from the first movie. The voice changing still bothers me though. Also Nita is a great character, although it feels like she's just the love interest which she is, she still prooves to be resourceful, kind as well as brave. This sequel is beautiful in a unique way.

Koda is such a good brother/friend he wishes for kenai to become a man again so he can be happy with nita even if that means he will be alone and he will probably barely see him anymore because he can’t visit the village as seen later. Same with her father he senses she didn’t feel right about her marriage. And after telling her they were ready he asked her if she was. That’s really sweet.
21:09-21:11 - Kenai might’ve been harsh on Koda by snapping at him to stop. However, Kenai had to do so to make Koda realize that he was being insensitive and sometimes he needs to stop talking when it starts affecting other people and be more aware as well.
Love this movie so much. It makes me smile when I see something with childhood friends seeing each other again and doing the things they did when they were young
I didn’t like this movie as a kid but I think I would enjoy it more today. Usually Disney’s sequels are not near as good as the originals but they’re not actually bad.

I think the first movie didn’t need a sequel, but I actually really enjoyed this movie and showing a stronger connection between Koda and Kenai, as Koda was willing to let Kenai be a man again to be with the woman he loves. Plus I actually really enjoyed how Koda and Nita instantly fell in love and got along, in comparison to other stories of kid characters feeling neglected or unloved because their parent fell in love with someone who doesn’t really care about the kid

Most people either pretend this one doesn’t exist or forget that it does cause it’s nowhere near the level of the original 🥲 if you can get past the change in voice actor it’s still a very enjoyable movie

Though, I will say that movie 2 Kenai's voice sounds a little older than that of movie 1 Kenai. So, despite the time between the movies is short, one could argue that Kenai grew up a little.

They are animal lovers, and the song is about a man who's missing his dog, and after the song, the band talks about supporting animal welfare. Watch til the end, because there's also a hilarious behind the scenes clip at the end. Not asking you to react, just spreading the word to animal lovers.
They could have, but it would’ve defeated the whole point of Kenai choosing to stay a bear in the first movie instead of becoming a human again. Plus Koda had a lot of friends amongst the bears and had a deep fear of humans. Nita came to appreciate Kenai’s close relationship with his bear brother and his wishes to remain a bear instead.

Imo I think this was one of the better animated sequels. It is leagues better than say Aladdin 2 and 3, Pocahontas 2 or Hunchback 2 that all received terrible animation quality that resembled tv show quality. I find it ironic a lot of the Renaissance sequels actually got pretty yucky animation while older movies like Lady and the Tramp and Bambi got much better animation budgets, which wouldn’t have made as much money because their movies weren’t very relevant at the time

As a sequel, it’s not bad, but it isn’t on par with the music. While the messages are still good, i never felt as emotionally attached to the music in this one.
Idk if you've already seen Suicide Squad (2016), but if you haven't you should check it out and it's sequel The Suicide Squad (2021). The sequel is better, but the first one has some good moments in it.
