- It’s Sunday here at the farm and with a little Footloose for inspiration and ‘kick off your Sunday shoes’ in mind, here’s a video just for fun.
We haven’t brought out the old songs for a while, because we don’t get paid anything when we use them … but I do love them.
Nothing boring about ‘a dog’s life’ here at the farm. No matter if you’re deaf, a little blind, got anger issues, have to wear a nappy, got a bodgy immune system, just want to bite everything in sight, your back legs are failing you, your brain doesn’t work quite the way it should, you were born with boy and girl parts, previously abused, abandoned more than once, twice, three times even … or stolen from the wild. Or even born a cat but think you’re a dog. It doesn’t matter. Farm is home. And home is fun and filled with love. And no one is ever left behind.

WE ARE ALL MUTTS REALLY!!! I’M MOSTLY ITALIAN AND IRISH WITH SOME ENGLAND THROWN IN!!! I USE TO PICK UP STRAYS ALL THE TIME DOGS AND CATS!!! THEN THE FIRST TIME I DID IT, MY EVIL STEPDAD DIDNT SAY A WORD HE JUST DRUG THAT POOR DOG TO THE WOODS AND SHOT HIM IN THE HEAD!!!! I DIDNT DO THAT ANYMORE BUT WE ATE CORNBREAD AND PINTOS EVERY NIGHT SO I KEPT A NAPKIN IN MY LAP AND I WOULD TAKE A BITE HOLD IN MY MOUTH AND WIPED MY LIPS BUT SPIT THE FOOD OUT!!! AFTER SUPPER I WOULD WALK ACROSS THE STREET TO THE CEMETERY WHERE PEOPLE DROPPED OUT DOGS AND CATS AND I FED AND GAVE THEM WATER!!!

What a great video, Sam! Fun fact: I am a set decorator (scenic painter) who works for two local high schools during their musical theatre seasons. I teach the students various decorative painting techniques appropriate for the musical currently being produced. We just finished doing FOOTLOOSE at one of the schools. Playing the title song with the dogs and family have a ton of fun was perfect! I love happy coincidences! 💚💚 Great to see the pack and Luke enjoying the heated magnesium pool too! 💦
Oh, and Barney boy gives backslide a whole new meaning. 😂 Goofball!

I loved this so much! Miss Violet napping as the world passes her by, Tank putting on the breaks but skidding into the pool anyway, Matilda (I think) doing a barrel roll and catching the lure, Shadow enjoying every minute chasing the lure and then napping hard at the end of the day, and Barney doing an upside down crawl down the driveway. Y’all had a great a Sunday!!!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️

This was a fantastic compilation! Some of my favorite highlights are the peanut butter tongues, Miss Violet knocked out asleep, Tank skidding into the pool, Barney sliding down the driveway, the epic GSD roll, and little Billie keeping up with the big dogs. So much fun!

spinning. Cutie Pie and Kitty Rose, Luke prancing with Evie on his shoulders, the best group hug ever, Sam bouncing with her kids, both 2 and 4 legged,
the 2 Big Boys, smiling, bouncing and barking, all the dogs with the peanut butter, but oh Barneys cute little face lapping it up melts my heart, Miss Violet snoozing, Tank skidding to a halt on the dock only to fall in, cracked me up, all the dogs jumping in the pool chasing the flirt pole, Shadow catching the Lure and Matilda putting her body on the line to catch the lure, you go girls, Barney pushing himself down the driveway, oh my gosh sooo cute, watching all those beautiful souls running in the open field, so happy and content, absolutely warmed my heart, Evies little dance and giggle.
