Her social skills seem lacking. Marques’ questions are usually very civil and not pointy barbs. The way she makes him squirm asking him what he’s even done recently, seemed unkind.
Theres something about Becca's voice. Its always so clear and crisp and it feels like its gotta be more about how well she enunciates rather than the equipment.
TV youtube watcher here! Either eating a meal. Watching long form videos while on the couch. Showing people music videos i have only found on youtube. Its relaxing. Probably just an old tradition from growing up with cable but i feel like bigger screen, bigger speakers, comfy couch with others makes it ideal over just watching on the phone or on the computer.
Proud to be part of both Becca and this channel’s regular female viewership 😊 I follow tech content, so I’m definitely not representative, but I will say these are my favorite tech channels that I follow the most regularly, the perspectives and presentation are just most interesting to me. I’m guessing that Becca will find an increase in female viewership over time, now that she has her own channel. I know I sometimes have gone actively looking for female creators that cover the topics I’m interested in, and I think since right now Becca’s audience is in large part people who followed her on the verge who followed her there, that skewed the demographic more than the reach of the channel itself. I think the more especially the content talks about the outdoors stuff and how to use the videos in your life, I think especially that iPod Nano video and stuff would have a larger potential female audience than a lot of tech videos, more women just need to be served the content and that’ll hopefully happen with time
I think it's fairly clear - I'm guessing Becca said something like in a world that includes non binary genders splitting everything binary isn't really a comprehensive analytic. Shame that would need to be cut.
This channel is massive now, not just a single person. Loads of jobs on the line. Which is why even if the commentary is pure and inclusive, it's not worth the potential damage. (Assuming that's what the cut was about).
Such a goated group of people for a collab! You guys all have such great chemistry and it's so refreshing to hear the topics from other creators. Tuned into every second, great stuff. Have Becca back in the future!
BECCA! Love love the discussions, nerding out on all the things. Such good vibes and flowing convo. I'm here for all this! This is definitely now my favorite episode of the WVFRM Podcast.
@@techkidwhiz I say that because 120fps is compatible with 60fps, 30fps and 24fps. Ultimately, when filming, it's a choice between 30fps and 120fps for video.
My recommendation would be to suggest to Apple in a video to replace the action button with this new button and have ALL of the properties of the button mappable to system wide apps when being used outside of the camera. For example, scrolling could dim your lights or could +- your ringtone volume. Half press could create a new task, full press could launch a 3rd party camera app, and double press could be open camera. And then once inside the camera apps the button could have all the camera functions as normal. This way there'd be no awkward placement. And the beautiful UI for mapping actions would be used.
It makes a difference whether you have a good conversation and record it as a podcast, or record a podcast and behave accordingly. This conversation is so good that you could also sit at a living room table, but you record a podcast and accordingly is the setting. Super professional. Props. Winner today: Who chose this guest. I'm amazed that the two things that I liked most from the Verge TH-cam channel was from Becca. Tech events supercut and full frame are awesome. I'm glad she's in a good spot to own her creation.
Becca was well establish at the Verge so idk if her starting off new is really “new”. Audiences know and love her already and look forward to her content. A great creator!
Yeah, I watched Verge videos *because of Becca* not because they're the Verge. The moment I saw she had a channel, it was an instant subscribe because of her past body of work.
TV TH-cam is all I need. I don't need any cable or streaming provider. Anything I could want is in TH-cam, funny, art, history, science, cars, tech, woodworking, music galore. It's AMAZING.
Love to see these things on waveform - Having guests like other tech TH-camrs - Having upcoming tech channels TH-camrs. - More product managers from tech companies
43:13 David, this feels kind of like Potato Jet. He’s got all these in-depth videos about video (camera, lenses, lighting, drones) but then he’s kind of incorporated a bunch of lifestyle content with his wife and their sick off-road camper van. It sounds like it shouldn’t fit on his channel but it works.
This was by far one of the most wholesome informative and enjoyable episodes of waveform I have watched it had everything the only way it could have been better is if all the hosts were there I loved every second
I get the emotional responses to the FPS discussion. But for me soap operas have been such a thing of the past for so long that I don't associate high frame rates with anything negative, so it's just smooth footage, which in my mind is inherently better. So the higher the FPS the better, even in the film space. It still looks cinematic with the right combination of color, framing, and depth. Good filmmaking=good film, no matter the frame rate.
let me be clear 24 > 30
Gosh darnit!!
True
😂😂😂
So blurry and fuzzy. 😂
24 is laggy and 60 is way too smooth. 30 is perfect.
I want a longform episode but it's just Becca and David talking about cameras for 15 hours
Days you mean

Podcast of Becca and David on her pateein soon (that I can’t afford 😢)
Ditto 😂
Yes
Becca, David and Marques on a podcast together. My life is truly fulfilled.
Haan beta sahi hai
Not going to lie, I wish MKBHD had hired Becca and given her and David their own camera channel similar to AutoFocus
Petition to have Becca as a permanent member of the pod.
regular guest at the very least!
Her social skills seem lacking. Marques’ questions are usually very civil and not pointy barbs.
The way she makes him squirm asking him what he’s even done recently, seemed unkind.
This had job interview vibe tbh
I agree ❤
And I second this
Theres something about Becca's voice. Its always so clear and crisp and it feels like its gotta be more about how well she enunciates rather than the equipment.
She have a great voice for sure
A 90 minute episode? I'm going to my next door neighbor to ask if they need any dishes washed
Funny and feel you!!!
i'm getting so much crochet done right now it's insane
X2
😭😭😭
Amen
Long time fan of Becca's work and great to hear more about her process and interests.
The crossover I've been dreaming of!
Oh boi, I wasn't expecting this, but LET'S GO!!! BINGO!!!! (I definitely ain't sleeping now)

38:56 "No, no, I'm just gay" LMAOOOOOOO that's so me
You beat me to this exact same comment 😂
I shot to the comments hoping to see this!
She's so real for that
Wearing plaid makes you gay???
There was a cut there. What did they said after that?
1:29:41 one of the most natural reactions I’ve seen from Marques & I love it lol
Love to be part of the single digit percentage of your viewers and also in STEM🙌🏽

This was your BEST podcast. Get Becca more often.
+1, W Becca
the chemistry is off the charts
Am I the only one that thinks that this felt like a job interview?? Love Becca❤️
47:49 that cut tho
Went back to check. No controversial takes on MKBHD🧐
release the full cut!
I think it's fairly clear - I'm guessing Becca said something like in a world that includes non binary genders splitting everything binary isn't really a comprehensive analytic. Shame that would need to be cut.
Came to the comment section to see if anyone caught that! Lol

So dang happy to see Becca on Waveform. Haven't heard anything outside of the zinger reel at the beginning and I'm already loving it.
I AM NOT ALONE WHEN I SAY THAT WE WANT THE 60FPS RANT!!!
You cannot make me change my opinion on it!
Wait what’s your opinion, I need to hear this 👀

I hope that as the creators of TH-cam continue to grow independently, the internet algorithms will also improve.
Yay! Bonus episode time
Thats amazing Collab, Becca and David in the same room.
1:25:38 best exchange on this podcast so far:
“Once every ten minutes? The bear?”
“A bear is not a reptile” 💀
Brilliant, well done for bringing Becca onto the podcast, bravo team.
I hope Becca can be a regular guest!
As a tech lover, photographer, videographer and Computer science student, this has been one of the most enjoyable episode all year ❤
Love Becca! Good move that she made her own channel! 🎉
Becca is a Legend.
I'd say she's on her way to becoming a legend.
I'd definitely watch becca's hiking videos! are you kidding me!?
Very easily my fav episode. Such an incredible collab - could listen to this crew chat for longer!
Becca is amazing. Beyond happy that she has been able to take off and follow her own vision for content!

Always loved watching Becca's videos on The Verge. Now there's a whole channel of just her videos :) she explains things so well and love her style!
had to pause the video to subscribe to Becca's channel to get her percentage of female subscribers up 🤣 (love to see more content for women and tech)
How about a weekly appearance for Becca on the the pod this was the most fun episode yet
Becca truly belongs to this podcast ! it was an amazing episode !

Becca is one of my favorite creators. So informative and fun to listen to. 🤙🏽
Started TH-cam TV in the spring. Baseball season was the reason. Now its fall and all I need is football but the rest of the service is pleasing.

The dynamic between Becca and David is unique. They should think about their own live show broadcasting on both channels.
I loved watching Becca reviews on the Verge. Now watching her own channel and it's excellent content
I just stopped at 15:40 because I'm happy and a bit sad thinking that this is a conversation I REALLY wanted to be part of. Lol. Love you all. Cheers!
