Incredible. You can’t really hear it but we the audience went nuts before he ended the aria! Thank you, Mr. Meachem for giving one of the most memorable performances I have experienced at the opera.

Bravo! I learn so much from watching not only these wonderful live performances but also your TH-cam videos of warm-up routines, etc. Seeing the notification of this video last night (before watching it just now) prompted me to sing the Prologo during my practice session today. I'm a lyric baritone who'll never sing Tonio in public, but you inspire me to try things to stretch myself--and my Prologo today was much better than the last time I tried it, however many years ago. Oh--and the "La speranza Challenge" is hysterical! We mustn't take ourselves too seriously, right? I loved your trying the various "pointers" people sent in!

A beautiful and exciting performance of one of the greatest of baritone arias. Surprising so many in the audience weren't aware of how this aria ends.

Really nice musicality and phrasing! You’re a great artist. Please, take your time with this repertoire! The music is so much bigger than us and we can only dream of doing it justice. I looks forward to your work in the future!

    This was truly outstanding!
One of the very best prologos I've heard - ever.
Your acting was also original and exemplary and the high notes impressive.
I just have one quibble: signozzi (sighs).
You chose to make this fortissimo.
While it did make a strong impression musically, I don't think this justifies singing it loudly instead of softly - especially if you could do a downward portamento showing an actual sigh.
Maybe you could think about this for next time.
But, anyway, as I said, I was mightily impressed by your consummate performance which definitely places you among today's greatest baritones! Congratulations.

LM brings his own thumb print to this aria. He brings a fresh, personal characterisation and really acts it well. LM works at his art and is an outstanding artist. Tonio is an interesting character to play and I'm sure LM could play the whole of this role superbly if he decided to. (Actually I don't know whether he has played the full role to date.) Congratulations!

    Hi Sir Lucas ,
    Bravissimo Magnifico ,
You have studied allot different opera singers , and you have found techniques that works so good for you , which such a power build up in the singing , to hold the voice for so long notes singing, the end was perfect.
You sing with such grace , great posture .
You have mastered opera the essence , the inner quore of singing opera .
Do great rehab voice training, every day you go for a walk and sing with low voice when walking , like jogging in a slow pace .
Do strenght training also well balanced training, rowing machine intervalls , cycling longer in a slower speed , Chi Gong in the morning , pepparmint Tea lighter brew not strong , stress relief through swimming.
Do things that gives you calm after a great show , read books , and you study opera singers that is good.
You have your own style your techniques for singing , you give much to the listener , a nice journey through sound feeling emotions.
    Have a Great September month,
    Warm Greetings from Helsingborg Sweden

A superb well focused baritone voice. In my humble opinion needing a bit more colour and cupo at times with the first E a bit open for my taste but an amazing top A flat and G at the end. Bravo.

Wow nice you are putting this aria out. Its hard, requires a lot of stamina. It sounds grear but I have to say that, in contrast with other arias i have hears from you, I feel you are more ‘playing’ the big baritone singer here, than having the words drive your performance. I know youtube critique. Anyway hope t hear more of this stuff in the futute 🌷

Amaizing....but....would his voice carry in an OPEN SPACE....as the voice of The Great Tetrazzini did...She sang in San Francisco and her voice was heard by THOUSANDS and BLOCKS AWAY...
...Auditorium / Teathers are ACOUSTICALLY DESIGNED TO AMPLIFIED THE SOUND...
...and that was not the CASE OF TETRAZZINI....
....What was the MAGIC THAT ALLOWED SINGER OF THE PAST TO SING WITH HUGE VOICES....
    ....What was that MAGIC?....
If today's technique is better....Where are the HUGE VOICES OF THE PAST....
