Hello from Ipswich Queensland Australia great video was great to see a fellow Aussie building a board and all the products where from Bunnings witch makes it easier to know where to get stuff to make my own board thankyou very much
hey Mate! not too far from me, im on the goldy. glad I could help out, im always frustrated when I see someone using something in a build that I just can't seem to get ahold in Aus. Bunnings is my saviour! keep on crafting!
This is really cool Seb! I might just have to make something like this for my daughter and son-in-law's games! We play on Monday nights but they host a game on Thursday nights and another one on Sunday nights! One of their friends that I've never actually met came up to me at my granddaughter's birthday party last month and told me how much he likes the stuff I've been building! Until a few months ago I'd never built anything like this! I've been an artist for years but until I started watching your channel and some others I hadn't found my true art form! D&D scatter terrain builders such as yourself have helped me to refine my artistic expression! I wait each week for a new video from you and others to learn new techniques and gain inspiration! I think this newest video of yours is your best yet! Your gaming board is so versatile and useable for so many different scenarios and campaigns! Great job!
Thanks man. I really appreciate it. I love the thought that I could have this kind of effect because I know exactly what you mean as I do it myself. The excitement of making things is hard to explain to the uninitiated, but how incredible that feeling is when you realise your goofy little hobby has actually inspired someone's game, it's hard to put into words. I'm stocked that you've got that group to build for, and hope I can keep encouraging you to keep up the Hobbying 😊
Great to watch. A suggestion for your glue, I find that Gorilla glue is the ideal thing for sticking down the foam and also attaching rock moulds to foam.
I think storage of all these cool things must be the biggest issue of the hobby. On top of the terrain rental business you'll need a wargaming space where people can come play, pay $10 per head entry and take their pick of the terrain library. That'll be 10% commission please :P
I've got some blended Toilet paper and plaster with a little bit of dark grout for the main mix, then water and pva or modpodge You can see the mix a bit clearer at around the 6 minute mark of this other video th-cam.com/video/IwueLRi44AE/w-d-xo.html
Great looking board mate.! What are the dimensions.? I’m assuming about 3’x4’.? I’ve been thinking of doing a similar thing but using one green foam board per board as they’re 4’x2’ and if I use 3 it’ll make a whole 6’x4’ board.
Yer I did mine at 3'x4' as the table we have is 3'x5' so it works perfectly for this case. But using multiple to make a big 4'x6' is a goal of mine to eventually do for my carnival board. In the opening of that video I actually sketched it out to scale over 3 boards for the eventual hope to finish the full set. I would almost recommend trying to go for 6 sections of 2'x2' for storage and possible modularity. Would love to see the end result of your build
Picture small hexagonal symbols that blend in with the scenery but enough to leave a mark, like stepping stones, each playable characters base fits in and respresent each step. With attackers woth ranged attacks varying from a swords man being up close or one space apart based on its skill set and magic or snorer able to hit from 4 or 5 blocks away depending on ranged of attack and which attack and it can go with different games like Star Wars or lord of the rings or a modern warfare theme
Whe you get this let me know we can go half on the idea patent it and go half to get it into Walmart and all those other place like that. I’ll delete this when I know you got this so we can eachnage numbers lmk asap
thanks mate, Love your enthusiasm. but unfortunately I already spend all my money and time on this hobby/channel. If you get something put together Id love to see what you make.

I'll have to pick some up, always on the hunt for usefully new materials. Cheers 👌😁
Great table!
Cheers mate
Great set piece. I like the multi function of it. I need to work towards that as my terrain continues to be more one and done
cheers mate. Im the same, too many one offs that are now just taking up space

The dream! Maybe one day when we have a studio for tomes and tables / Seb makes stuff! Add on an extra public games room
This was amazing! Thanks for sharing the whole process with us :D
Cheers mate
Nicely done! Other than the plaster and water, what else is in your sculptamold mix?
