Thank you so much for sharing your story. I am 19 F and an aspiring electrical engineering. I have genuine interest in Hardware. Space mesmerized eversince childhood but I always felt like it would never be my reality. Idk but it felt so good and empowering to listen to your story.

Seeing this gave me hope that I can still be an astronaut. I just started my career at MSCF and I feel so honored to work for an organization like this. You are an inspiration, and as a fellow latino, to see the first Latina woman in space makes me feel soo proud of I wish you nothing but the best, always. I will never give up on my dream and you have taught me and many others that there is always an opportunity.

Kat I can't even explain what a positive impact you have been in my life, I started following you a couple of years ago as I was starting my own engineering journey . Admittedly I had quite a few bumps in the road along the way but around the time you went up to space in June I was reminded how much I love space and how excited I am for the future of the field, it has been incredibly inspiring to watch your journey in space and makes me more keen for my own future 🚀💚
You are such an inspiration, I thought I wasn't smart enough to achieve my goals however following you has shown that as long as you stick to it and stay focused you can achieve anything. I'm so glad you got to go to space you deserved it. Love from 🇿🇦🇬🇧

Thank you so much for taking the time to tell your story! I’m 16 years old and a 2nd year aerospace engineering student. My dream for as long as I can remember is to be an astronaut at NASA. I struggle to believe in myself and to feel like I belong sometimes because of my background. Seeing someone like me achieve their dreams makes me feel like my dreams may one day also become reality. Electronics! I'm a circuit designer, primarily focused on Space related applications.
