Also, you probably already know this as I’m assuming you’re at Rice already, but the matcha ice pops ally little kitchen htx are SO GOOD!!! I tried one when I toured a few months ago
I grew up in Houston. If you want to go to the beach there, go to Bolivar, Pennisula the town of chrystal beach. You go to Galveston and get on sea wall and head for the Bolivar Fairy. Once on Bolivar Pennisula take the highway until you get to at least Chrystal Beach, You used to be able to take your car on the beach, but you may have to park your car and rent a Golf Cart to drive down to the beach or just walk. It is not white sand beaches. The Mississippi River dumps into the Gulf of Mexico and most of the silt and sediments end up on muddying the waters of the Gulf from below New Orleans west to Corpus Christy and the sand is tan to brown. But you can walk for hours on the Bolivar Pennisula and the Ferry Ride is amazing. If you want the white sands go east from Mississippi Gulf Coast all the way to florida for white sands or just go to and Texas coast beach from Corpus Christy to Brownsville to to get the white beaches.
Thanks for sharing! While I would consider myself to be somewhat familiar with Houston, your video was super helpful and informative. I'm very excited to begin my journey at Rice this fall!
